You may have heard me mention Tai Chi on occasion. We've been incorporating Tai Chi into our Wednesday evening Beginner Fitness class for the purposes of active recovery.
In August, we are launching our formal Yang Style Tai Chi program. Yang Tai Chi is the most widely practiced style of Tai Chi, known for its slow, smooth, flowing movements that promote balance, flexibility, relaxation, and overall well-being. Originally developed as a martial art, it is now widely practiced for health, mindfulness, and stress reduction.
So who can benefit from practicing Yang Tai Chi? Everyone. If you are training in one of our other "Hard Arts" programs, practicing Tai Chi will help with the soreness, especially tendon and joint soreness you likely experience on occasion. If you are the parent of a student, Yang style Tai Chi is a great way to improve overall health of mind and body. It's light exercise and moving meditation.
We are having two introductory sessions for those interested in learning more. It's free, but spaces are limited. You can sign up using the QR codes on this flyer.
