Game 3 - WIN 6-2

Ella Reilly’s Big Day Propels East Hall Varsity Vikings Past Liberty County

Ella Reilly collected three hits in four at bats, as East Hall Varsity Vikings defeated Liberty County 6-2 on Friday. Reilly tripled in the seventh inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and singled in the first inning.

Aydan Gerrin struck out 11 batters on the day. The right-handed pitcher also allowed three hits and two runs over seven innings while walking one.

East Hall Varsity Vikings got on the board in the first inning after Reilly singled, scoring one run.

East Hall Varsity Vikings added one run in the second after .

Liberty County tied the game up in the bottom of the third thanks to two errors. Liberty County tied the game at two on an error.

In the top of the fifth, East Hall Varsity Vikings broke up the tie when Reilly doubled, scoring one run. Then a ground out by Emily Ingbritsen followed to extend the lead to 4-2.

Barnard opened the game for Liberty County. The hurler gave up seven hits and six runs (three earned) over seven innings, striking out 10 and walking one.

Elaina Hendrix collected two hits for East Hall Varsity Vikings in four at bats. Marlee Pitts stole two bases. East Hall Varsity Vikings stole four bases in the game.

Leadoff hitter Barnard led Liberty County with two hits in four at bats.

East Hall Varsity Vikings welcome Oconee County on Monday for their next game.
