We love our Gahanna community! Thank you for the continued support as we raise funds to get our second HS team 43230B up and running and as we expand from 2 students to 8! My favorite interaction was meeting a neighbor down the street whose son is in elementary school and they said "Gahanna has robotics?!" They were so glad to hear that and can't wait to join the community.

Did you know that VEX Robotics is more than just building and coding? These high schoolers are developing so much more than that. The program is truly student-led and the most successful teams are well-rounded and have students with an interest in a variety of areas. I had the privilege of being a remote judge this year for the VEX Robotics Worlds competition across a variety of school levels and got to see impressive teams from across the world.

In addition to the engineering skills you'd expect, judged competitions evaluate the following areas:
1- Game Strategy
2- Creativity/Originality
3- Team and Project Management
4- Teamwork, Communication and Professionalism
5- Respect, Courtesy and Positivity

Wow, does that sound like someone that I'd like to hire!

What. A. Season. The Gahanna Robotics Squad might be small in team size, but they are large in determination.

Over this past weekend team Classy Chassis 43230A finished pool play ranked #7 with a record of 7-1 in the Nighthawk division of the Vex V5 State of Ohio Robotics Championship. They lost in the semifinals to the eventual state champion by only 10 points. They had technical issues throughout the weekend that they worked through and never gave up when those issues put them behind in a game. They made so many new friendships with teams from all over the state and will carry those relationships to next year when it comes time for alliance selections.

Thank you to everyone that supported Gahanna Robotics Squad and team Classy Chassis 4320A this past year. A big shoutout to the Zanesville Robotics team for giving us a much needed battery cable this past weekend. There are so many other teams that also gave advice and expertise during the season that we also appreciate.

As this year wraps up, Classy Chassis is already looking forward to next year and is looking to learn more. Connect with us through facebook if you are in Gahanna and are a high school student or rising freshman. We would love to discuss our club and what our plans are for the future.

Tomorrow our flagship team, Classy Chassis-43230A, is headed to the High School Vex V5 state tournament for Ohio. To do this as freshman is quite the accomplishment. To do this with a team of 2 is even more amazing. We are pulling for Classy Chassis, and we hope you take a few minutes to watch them on the live stream tomorrow.
