This week's 360° was taken near the end of Forest Road 34E314 (Indian Creek Road) on my way to Mount Hogue in the White Mountains along the border of California and Nevada. At this point my campsite is just out of view down the road maybe 1/4 mile.

We are at 9300 feet in elevation with only 3400 more feet to go to the top.

This week's 360° was taken at the Baker Airport which runs parallel to CA Hwy 127.

Baker Airport is used by the San Bernardino County Sheriff & Fire Departments, and California Highway Patrol. It’s also used to transport spare parts for trucks, and ballots on Election Day.

Baker Airport has a lighted 3,157 ft. by 50 ft. asphalt runway with instrument approaches.

The airport has lots of available airspace for cross country flights or touch and go practice with only 135 operations per week.

This week's 360° was taken at the Eclipse Mine in the Ibex Wilderness. Located West of Tecopa, California this spot is also the "trailhead" for McLain BM which straddles the boundary for Death Valley National Park.

This week's 360° was taken from atop Thimble Peak, Death Valley National Park. Thimble Peak has a pretty consistent use trail starting from Titus Canyon Road at Red Pass.

3.4 miles RT with a gain of about 1500 feet. It will require some use of your hands for the final few feet. I go around the backside because of my full backpack.

Yes, Titus Canyon is open for traffic but only temporarily, It will close again to complete road upgrades this September for another 9 months or so.
