We had our players pick who they think deserves athletes of the week. Below are all the reasons why they chose Maci and Haley.
Maci (rising 8th grader) - She has worked incredibly hard and made tremendous improvements throughout the offseason. No matter the drill or situation, she always gives her best effort and is willing to put in the work. On both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor, her growth has been evident. She has become a more confident shooter, and she does a much better job of using her body to establish position and finish in the paint. Every time she comes to workouts, she gives 100% effort and sets a great example through her work ethic. She is also a supportive teammate who encourages and helps those around her, making a positive impact on the entire group.
Haley (rising Freshman)- Her hustle and effort set her apart every day. She consistently finishes among the top three in conditioning and competitive drills, showing her determination and commitment to improving. She is dependable, takes accountability for her actions, and is always willing to put in the work. Her overall game continues to improve as she grows in confidence and skill on both ends of the floor. With her work ethic and positive attitude, she is making steady progress and has a bright future ahead.
