One of the most important parts of coaching is taking the time to understand the athlete in front of you.

Their goals.
Their needs.
Their questions.
Where they are starting from.

I’m grateful when parents recognize that part of the work.

My goal is always to help young athletes grow not only in their sport, but also in their confidence and understanding of the work they’re putting in.

Good coaching takes patience, communication, and a willingness to meet the athlete where they are.

If you’re looking for training for your young athlete, send me a DM. 👊🏾

Track Sessions & Form Drills 🏃‍♀️💨

Putting in the work on the track today!

Focusing heavily on maintaining a strong stride, driving those elbows, and keeping form tight through every single rep.

* form running drills are critical to being a better runner in your sport.

* Consistency: Staying light on the feet and keeping good arm action with cues like "cheek to hip"

Trusting the process and building speed one rep at a time!

> “Push, push, drive those elbows, and run!”

Being a great athlete doesn’t automatically mean you’re going to be a great sprinter.

Acceleration takes more than effort. It takes understanding how your body should move and having the right technique to put that effort into action.

That’s why I pay attention to the details when I train an athlete. Sometimes a small adjustment in mechanics can make a big difference in how they move.

Speed isn’t just something you’re born with. It’s something you can work on, practice, and develop. 👊🏾

If your athlete is working on their speed, send me a DM and let’s talk about their goals.

As a parent, choosing a coach for your athlete can feel like a big decision.

You’re not just choosing someone to lead a workout. You’re choosing someone who will spend time teaching your child, correcting them, challenging them, and helping them build confidence along the way.

And every athlete is different.

Some athletes may pick up a new skill quickly. Others may need more time, more explanation, or a different approach. That’s part of coaching too.

For me, it’s important that an athlete feels like they can learn, ask questions, make mistakes, and continue working toward their goals.

Because good coaching isn’t just about telling an athlete what to do.

It’s about helping them understand why they’re doing it. 👊🏾
