These boys put on a show today. They won both games with scores of 15-3 and 10-1. The pitching was the key in both games as they had 10k’s with only 4 walks. They kept the pressure on in the box only striking out 2 times all day. Best part of the day was a triple play in the first game. They have been putting in the work and its starting to show on the field.

These 10 boys right here laid it all out in the field in our last 8u Kid pitch tournament of the season. We got rained out yesterday and didn’t get to play so we ended up with the 8 seed and had to start at 8:00 this morning. Couple that with 1:30 rain delay after our first game they won back to back games putting us in the semi finals. They were down 4-0 going into the last inning and fought back to win 5-4. They gave all they had in the ship and lost 3-2. These boys finished up the spring going 28-9-1 and we could not be prouder of them for the hard work and never say die attitudes they have played with all season.

I would like to say thank you to the Frisco Riders organization for taking a chance on this team. We loved our big brothers, wiffle ball games and our time spent together on our community service projects.

These boys left it all on the field this past weekend in their last coach pitch tournament. We played in a stacked open tournament going 3-2 and finished 3rd, with our only losses coming to the eventual tournament champ. Like I told the boys we could have found an easier tournament to play and go win but I wanted to challenge them and they went toe to toe with the best. We will finish up this weekend with our last kid pitch for the spring then move on to 9U.
