Hey FitFam, our next community hike is locked in! 🥾⛰️

We’re heading to Twin Lakes on Saturday, June 27th for fresh air, mountain views, movement, and community.

📍 Meet at Built Strong: 6:00 AM
🚗 Roll Out: 6:15 AM sharp
🥾 Distance: ~7.5 miles round trip
⛰️ Elevation Gain: ~1,200 ft
📊 Difficulty: Moderate

This hike is longer and more challenging than our San Joaquin River Gorge hike, so come prepared with enough water, snacks, and the right gear.

Bring water, hiking shoes, light layers, sunblock, electrolytes, and snacks.

Friends and family are welcome!

We officially launched our first Longevity Class today at Built Strong — and this program is about one thing:

Building strength, balance, mobility, and confidence for life.

Longevity is designed for adults who want to:
✔️ Move better
✔️ Improve balance and coordination
✔️ Maintain independence and strength as they age
✔️ Build healthier habits in a supportive environment
✔️ Stay active without feeling intimidated by traditional fitness classes

This is not about crushing people with intensity.

It’s about helping people stay capable, resilient, and strong for the long run.

Today’s session focused on:

🔹 Balance work
🔹 Hip & core strength
🔹 Functional movement patterns

During Spring Split, we train each movement pattern 2x/week — but with a different emphasis each session.

One day may focus more on:
🔹 Strength
🔹 Tempo
🔹 Control
🔹 Stability

The second exposure shifts toward:
🔹 Volume
🔹 Conditioning
🔹 Work capacity
🔹 Fatigue resistance

The goal isn’t just to “feel smoked.”

Yesterday’s team meeting was a reminder that what we’re building goes way beyond workouts. Strong coaching, strong culture, strong connection.

We’re also excited to welcome a new face to the team — Coach Monica Schultz. Official introduction coming soon. 👊🏾

And although Scott couldn’t make it yesterday, he was definitely missed.

Grateful for a team that continues to grow, lead, and pour into this community every day.
