What a race weekend for Maci. This was her last outdoor race of the season and also her last race being on her 50. She went out for practice feeling a little off but still got a good feel for the track. She ended up with 4th in both her classes. Also this race was for the track championship’s here at Sandusky Valley Riders and she ended up walking away with 2nd place. She has worked hard and put the time in to earn it. Now it’s onto the big track and a new bike.

What a racing weekend it was for maci at Delta Raceway. This may be a long one.
Maci started her racing weekend Saturday on the kid track. She raced the normal 50cc 7-8 class and the 50 open she got 3rd in the 7-8 class and 4th in the open. During racing we was informed they opened up the big track to the kids on the little track and we was really wanting Maci to hit it. She really was not sure about it her dad got her all hyped up for it she was ready to go when she hit that gate. Everything was going good on practice till the first yellow flag went out and I instantly knew it was Maci. First practice ever at delta Maci went on the big track on Rocky Mountain she fell back down the hill hitting her head and ever since she has been scared of that track when we got her on it last night we really was hoping she had confidence in herself after learning everything she knows now that the bigger track would be nothing to her. Well the yellow flag went out she fell again in Rocky Mountain but this time committed to the jump but did not hit the gas when in the air and ended up nose diving and flipping off the big and ended up with a pretty good bloody nose. When dad got to her he got her wanting to finish the practice but when she got stuck on a rut her sister came behind her and hit her in the back end and took Maci and her out. After that Maci was about done. Her nose started bleeding again they took her off the track and Maci decided she was done for the night. She at one point said she wanted to finish the kid track in points and be done but now she’s not sure if she’s happy with her decision. It’s something her dad and I are unsure how to help her build confidence. It was definitely a weekend full of good and bad moments but hoping she comes back stronger.

Getting Maci use to the 65 before she had to jump on it.

Today Maci raced at Sandusky Valley Riders and in her first set of motos she got 3rd in both her 50 cc 7-8 class and her 50 open. The second set of motos she got 2nd in both classes over all in the 50cc 7-8 class she got 2nd and the 50 open she got 3rd. I would say over all it was a good day for Maci she raced hard! Very proud of her.

A small recap on Maci’s racing weekend..

It must not have been the best weekend for her. She went out for practice and she wasn’t carrying speed like she was before. There was a little more kids than usual here this weekend and maybe that got into her head I’m not sure. She was rolling jumps still not having the speed like before which put yer in some hard positions. Wasn’t under the last set of motos again that she kicked it into gear. Just more to work on and keep fixing the small problems. Overall still was not a bad weekend for her.

This weekend Maci raced at Delta Raceway and she did just as well as last time she was here 2 weeks ago. She raced the 50 open and the 50 class and the 110 pit bike class again. She was really looking for a placing position in the 50 open but she came up one short again. She really did bring it today. Over all Maci walked away with 7th in the pit bike class, 4th in the 50 class and 6th in the 50 open class. She was looking for 3rd in her last 50 class race and the bike slid out from under her on a turn but she was able to keep 4th place. Couldn’t be more proud of Maci today she went out did what she needed to do took the advice given to her and fixed the small things and always went out even stronger!

One of Macis races over the weekend that got a little crazy at the beginning.

And the screaming was her after telling her if you are scared to jump then scream through the whole jump if that makes her feel better but to actually jump them😂🤦🏼‍♀️
