A small recap in paisleys racing weakened.

Paisley went started out practicing on the small track before night racing started. The goal was to get her jumping and more speed on the small track and if she could do it there she could on the big track. And she did exactly that she went out and started jumping and getting air to her jumps she realized she actually likes it. She also has realized everytime dad says go faster it gets you through the ruts she finally realized that it’s also true only after a year and a half telling her that.
But also still had more to work on. She knows if she gets more speed she can also jump farther and that will come with time we are just happy she at least started to finally do it. Not just speed and jumping but teaching her to not get so comfortable on the seat that she needs to stand on certain parts of the track. That will also come with time and practice.
Over all her lap times got faster and her jumps looked pretty good I’d say for the most part.

Over the weekend paisley raced at delta and it was a very busy weekend for her.

Friday night her uncle went out to race and gave him self a concussion and paisley stepped in for him to finish the race out she was ready no questions asked and didn’t do to bad.

Saturday night she was given the chance to go on a new bike to try it out and see how she liked it for the night series. With a new bike to her she still was able to pull off same lap times as usual some a little faster than usual. But going out feeling a lot more confident in herself and her bike. Her placing was not the best in any race she ran but right now still the point is to just get her a bike she can trust and for her to still learn when she needs to down shift now and trusting herself to jump.

Sunday she went out for the stateline series at Delta Raceway and it was about the same as Saturday night. She went out for practice and lost her kick start Jason got lucky while walking the track and found it. She felt like trying to jump a jump like the other kids and ended up casing the jump she just needed a little more speed she would have cleared it no problem. But she was able to keep a consistent speed and keep the same lap times for both days. Now it’s just about more speed learning a whole new bike and learning when to shift up and down mostly down and having more speed when jumping so she don’t case no more jumps.

This weekend paisley raced at Delta Raceway and that was another race with problems. From a spark plug blowing to the bike flooding or the bike just not wanting to start or having no air in her suspension. Seems like there’s been nothing but problems with this bike but paisley makes the best of it. She went out and got good laps in she was jumping higher and having more speed. With more practice and seat time it will come to her.

Racing this weekend at Delta Raceway for the buckeye series was definitely something different for Paisley. Never have been in a race before with so many kids but with all of them it was nice to have her see where she should be at and makes her wanna work just as hard to get there. Going this weekend was not about placing it was just about seat time and working on speed it’s the one thing she has trouble with and what she needs work on.

She raced the 65 open and the 65 sr this weekend. In the first set of motos for both classes she didn’t do to well she got the starts down didn’t dump the clutch at all but she did fall a couple times and stalled a couple (due to not enough speed through the ruts). Was not until the second set of motos that she was able to keep it on 2 wheels and actually get 3 laps in for both motos. The 65 sr 2nd moto she actually got her fastest lap time of the day she was standing on jumps, not looking so stiff riding, had some speed she looked good.

Honestly right now we are looking for speed her only goals right now is to learn the shifting when she needs to, the speed, and wanting to just be able to stick up with the pack and finish all 4-5 laps. Placing will come after she can get that stuff down. I did not get no videos I forgot her go pro at home sadly. But over all we take the good parts and learn on the rest and come back stronger!

Not exactly the post I was wanting to make but better than nothing. Paisley was suppose to finally hit the big track at SVR this weekend but sadly the bike was not ready to yet again. Parts did not come in on time, trying to fix the issues best we could just to get through the day but just couldn’t make it happen. Hopefully after all these parts come in the bike will be all ready to go with no more issues🤞🏼
Paisley did get to at least race the pit bike again to at least get seat time. She did get first on her first moto but went down on her second moto on the last lap and gave it all she had almost taking 1st back.
But even with all the problems she made the best of it and still had fun! Very proud of how well she did!

Racing this weekend I would say went better than usual. Going from paisley was not going to race this weekend to showing improvement when practicing on the little track to talking us into her racing. She did only race the 65 beginner tonight. Her practices went very well minus when she fell once and she got a little scared but got over it quick and went faster in her moto only thing now is the jumping to work on with the speed together. Over all paisley took home 4th.

This will be a long recap for the past couple weeks.
Luck as not been on our side when paisleys bike seized  up and had to get a rebuild kit fast or her season would have never got to start. Luckily her sponsor helped us out a lot we was about to do it and had a lot of help getting it rebuilt and ready to go.
This weekends racing did not go as planned. Paisley was in the 65 beginner and the 65 open. We had bike problems through out the whole time there from spark plugs to carb problems. In the end paisley pulled off 7th in the 65 open and did not get to finish her 65 beginner race sadly. This bike is new to her and new to us. We are working on learning it just as much as she is hopefully things only get better from here.
