What's better than baseball on Father's day? Giving dad a championship ring! The Championship game (game 5) was called in the 2nd inning due to rain so both teams received a rings. We were 4-0 in the Janesville Jays Triple Play Weekend tournament!

EXTRA INNINGS started with 1 out and a runner on 2nd and we shut them down!

Our turn, Teegan Krieger started on 2nd and Bennett Martz up to bat with a hit to move Teegan to 3rd. Bennett out at first.
Now with 2 outs James Keith with a bomb to right field and Teegan to score the winning run!!!

Coach Wilken and his boys are 3-0!! From the warm ups to the last play these boys were locked in. Great 9-1 win today.
Every player had a important play or hit today but there are 2 we have to talk about.

1) Score was 5-1 with bases loaded, 2 outs and Milton Storm ripped the ball to left field where Bennett Martz was with a major catch to close the inning

2) Milton Storm hit a hard grounder to James Keith to make a 6-4-3 double play!! So amazing to see 9 year olds pull off something so smooth!!

James, Calvin and Isaiah were hot on the mound today

Tomorrow at 9:40 field 9

The boys played hard and are 2 seed in the triple play tournament in Janesville. We are 2-0 and play at 4:20 tomorrow against Milton Storm 9U. Same field as today (field 11)

Due to a platform change for next season, we are finalizing all of the registration information and that should open next week to get players registered for tryouts!! Be on the lookout for that!!

It was not how we wanted to end in Iowa but it sure was the most magical place on dirt.
1-2 on the long weekend but memories were made for sure. Playing catch at the field of dreams was a experience along with 3 boys winning the quick hands challenge. It was fun but next stop, Wisconsin here we come!!!
