🖤💛 Gatorade Game Weekend! 🐾

We had a fun weekend kicking off the season!

Friday night started with a pre-show from the FHS Band, and they did such a great job! I never would have guessed it was their first performance of the season. We loved the theme, and the Color Guard did a great job too! 🎶💛

The kids also got to enjoy dinner and some water balloons, which was such a fun addition to the night! It’s been awesome seeing how much the students and staff have put into everything these last few weeks, especially with how HOT it’s been!

Then we had the Gatorade Game! Our FHS Cheerleaders got to cheer with the Little FFL Cheer Team and then cheer for a scrimmage between our own FHS athletes. 📣🐾

Even with the heat, everyone did a great job and brought the energy! We’re so glad we got to be part of such a fun night and see so many of our Blackcat families out there.

🐾✨ WELCOME TO THE LEADERSHIP TEAM, MAGGIE! ✨🐾

We are so excited to officially announce Maggie Gallagher as an FHS Cheer Captain! 🖤💛

While we don’t always have captains on our team, this year there was someone who truly stood out for this role. Maggie has been an incredible part of FHS Cheer since her freshman year, and throughout the years, she has consistently gone above and beyond—not only as an athlete, but as a teammate and leader.

Maggie is the kind of teammate who leads by example. She has welcomed and helped our new athletes, stepped up to participate in Little Cheer activities, supported her teammates, and continues to be a wonderful role model both in the school and on the track. She is always willing to lend a hand, including helping make sure her teammates can get where they need to be when transportation is needed.

Most importantly, Maggie has shown the kind of character, dedication, responsibility, and heart that we want to see in a leader. 💛

We are so proud of everything Maggie has brought to FHS Cheer over the years, and we are even more excited to see her step into this new role and help lead our team this season!

✨🐾 WHAT A WEEK FOR FHS CHEER! 🐾✨

It’s been a BUSY first week back for the FHS Cheerleaders, and we’ve loved every minute of it! 💛🖤

The team kicked off the school year by joining in on Stuff the Bus to help welcome students back and make the first week a little more fun! Thank you so much to everyone who helped make these events possible and for having our cheerleaders be a part of this event! 🥰

Of course, we couldn’t start the year without a little DRESS-UP WEEK FUN! 🎉

⭐ Monday: Celebrity Day
🎟️ Tuesday: Wrong Event Day
🩷 Wednesday: Onesie Wednesday / PJ Day
🎬 Thursday: Dress as Someone With the Same Initial
💚 Friday: Neon ’80s Day

And while we had plenty of fun, the team also put in some SERIOUS work this week! 👏🏼 Our cheerleaders worked hard on cheers, stunts, tumbling, and building their skills—and I couldn’t be more proud of the effort they’ve already shown! 🥹💛

The first week is officially in the books, and we’re just getting started! 🐾

Tuesday, May 12th- 3:30-5:30
Wednesday, May 13th- 3:30-5:30 (may conclude early if all groups finish trying out early)

Attire: Game Day Attire!
Blackcat apparel, athletic materials, hair up, and smile!
Materials:
Please bring a water bottle, a current physical, and tryout paperwork. Teacher recommendations need to be turned in prior to tryouts.
