Who’s excited for the parade today!?🙋🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️ We love that our players & coaches have the opportunity to participate every year and we would like to reminder everyone:

The staging area is behind the JH starting at 5:15pm. You will need to drop off your player close to the school and they will have to walk in.

**Please note- There is no traffic (other than parade vehicles) allowed in the school parking lot.

The Parade begins at 6pm and will end inside the Franklin Park by the tennis courts. Please see the post below from FCS about the specific parade route. ⬇️

Parents will pick up inside the park when the parade ends. Team jerseys are encouraged!

Candy may be thrown along the route (players will need to bring their own). Please be considerate when throwing candy to not aim for spectators faces. Candy must be thrown from the vehicle and not handed out. 

For specific questions, please ask you team coaches.

The Franklin City Schools Homecoming Parade is tonight, Wednesday, October 1st, at 6:00pm.

The Parade route will start at Franklin Junior High School, turn left out of the school lot onto 4th Street, left onto Riley Blvd., left onto 6th Street, and will end at Comunity Park and the new Franklin High School on Sixth Street.

We ask that all motorists and parade attendees use caution when in the area and expect slight delays. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable evening! 🐾

Stronger with Spectrum - Here's to a Winning Season!

This season, we’ve been proud to welcome Spectrum into the Franklin Youth Soccer Association family. Leagues like ours help young athletes learn the value of sportsmanship, teamwork, and resilience.

Spectrum has supported our players, coaches, and families with genuine enthusiasm and community pride. Their sponsorship reflects a shared belief in the importance of youth sports, and we’re thankful they’ve chosen to stand with us.

Let’s keep the momentum going. Go team!

Let me tell you about the rarest creature in youth sports: the "For the Kids" Coach.

This coach is an endangered species, a rare breed you're lucky to spot in the wild.
You'll know them when you see them.

They are the ones volunteering after a long day of work and taking care of their own families.
They are the ones who value personal growth over plastic trophies and develops the bottom of the lineup as much as the top.
They seems immune to the noise of sideline gossip and the pressure of parking lot politics.

They teach life lessons disguised as soccer drills, and their post-game talk is the same after a blowout win or a heartbreaking loss.
They are the first to the field and the last to leave.

But their habitat is shrinking. They are becoming critically endangered, threatened by the corrosive effects of a 'win-at-all-costs' culture.

So if you are lucky enough to have one for your child’s team, understand what you have.
Protect them. And every once in a while, tell them thank you.

They needs the encouragement to survive.

Looking sharp! 📸 TODAY is picture day for our older kids - hummingbirds & sparrows will take place in September

📸 Times are also posted below in the comments along with a copy of the order form. **paper copies are available at the park

Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early to fill out order form and to get individual pictures taken. Once the whole team has arrived they will take the team photo.

LOCATION- small shelter near the playground.

Payment is made to No. 9 Images Photography. Cash, check & credit cards are accepted.

Please refer to your coach for any practice adjustments.

**Sparrow & Hummingbirds will take place in September**

REMINDER - parking on the grass is prohibited in the park.

We have been asked to remind families to kindly refrain from parking in the grass areas in the park. The Franklin PD will begin to monitor the park more as the evenings & weekends get busier and tickets will be issued.

Please drive slow & keep an eye out when driving. Stay safe!

Sorry for the confusion- Coaches meeting for the younger teams (Sparrow/Hummingbird) will be next week. This meeting will be for teams that will play at Dial Park. (*Sparrow/Hummingbird were previously known as the Candy/Lolipoo teams).

Sparrow and Hummingbird kids won’t hear from their coaches until after next week. Those rosters are being finalized.
