Almost 9 years old and still fighting 💜

King stopped the clock at a 6.331 today in Speed Retrieve, earning 3rd Overall and 1st place in Nitro!

A couple weeks ago in Florida he ran a 7.205, so to see him shave .874 seconds off after getting back into underwater treadmill work has me beyond excited. The old man still has it!

So proud of this dog and his heart.

King has always been a bit slower in Dueling Dogs compared to Speed Retrieve. He likes to run wide, especially in lane 1...

King has always been a bit slower in Dueling Dogs compared to Speed Retrieve. He likes to run wide, especially in lane 1, and has always done things his own way.

But somehow, that same heart and determination keeps him right where he belongs…
Top ranked GSD. We’ll take it for now, knowing there are probably some other GSDs close to getting their 5 scores and joining the rankings soon.

At almost 9 years old, I’m just incredibly proud of him.

The next GSD in Dueling Dogs sits at #98… 💜

Whether your dog is brand new or a seasoned competitor, this event features Big Air, Extreme Vertical, and Speed Retrieve with waves all weekend long. Come compete, challenge yourself, or simply let your dog try something new in a supportive environment with fellow dog lovers.

Not competing? Spectators are highly encouraged. This is an exciting, family friendly event where you can watch dogs fly and cheer on every team.
