Andy McDermid WeatherTech Racing #24

We were busy with WeatherTech #24 Mustang in July, competing at Speedfest/BERT Majors at Gingerman Raceway, then at the Sports Car Club of America Cat Nationals at Road America the following weekend.
Gingerman was hot and smokey from the Canadian wildfires, but that didn't slow us down. We had the pole both Friday and Saturday, and won both races.
Road America is always spectacular and the weather didn't disappoint there either. We had some good competition but we put the #24 on the pole again both days, and brought home two more checkered flags.
So far we are 6 poles and 6 wins for 6 races this year. Next stop - the 2026 Runoffs! 🏁

Congratulations to Andy McDermid WeatherTech Racing #24 on a winning weekend at Road America!

Andy took home wins on both Saturday and Sunday at the WeatherTech Chicago Region SCCA June Sprints, competing in the American Sedan class.

After a challenging start to the weekend, his team made the right repairs and adjustments, came back strong, and put the No. 24 WeatherTech car out front.

Just got home from the WeatherTech® Chicago Region SCCA June Sprints® that we attended this past weekend at Road America.

We missed out on Q1 on Friday and had a bit of a rough Q2 session Saturday morning, but managed to get the pole for Saturday's race. After some repairs and adjustments, we came back to win on both Saturday and Sunday.🏁😎🏁 I was really disappointed that there were so many wrecks on Sunday that they didn't allow a victory lap, so no good smokey burnout pictures this time. 🫤

The car is coming around well after the major wreck at the runoffs last year. It was running well both days and we were close to running at our previous track record pace.

Our next event is Speedfest at Gingerman Raceway on July 17-18, then back to Road America the following weekend for the Sports Car Club of America Cat Majors.

So far, the season is off to a great start!🏁 Thanks to WeatherTech, Lane Automotive / Motor State Distributing, Hoosier Racing Tire, Carbotech Brakes, Discount Tire, Auto Gear, and my wonderful team of family and friends. They make it all possible. 😎👍
