Fins played a great weekend, going 3-3, falling to the eventual champions in our 3rd bracket game!

Weekend Offensive standouts:
💪🏽 Claire Delgado batting .615 with 2 doubles and .643 On Base Percentage
🔥 Makayla Ketchum batting .538 with 1 triple and .538OBP
💥 Gabby Morris batting .375 with 1 double and .545OBP

Weekend Defensive standouts:
💙 Hannah Blotkamp pitching 13 innings allowing only 3 earned runs, striking out 11 with an ERA 1.615 and WHIP 1.308
🧡Claire Delgado with 16 put outs and 3 assists

Forgot the Fins chain on Saturday, but Sunday it was earned by:
🎯Gabby Morris for fielding a fly ball to CF and making a great throw to catcher Emily Thrash to tag out the runner trying to score at home!
✌🏼 Hadleigh Conrad for turning an inning ending double play by catching a line drive at 3B and throwing to 1B Mack Lindelien catching the runner @ first before tagging up!

🙏🏼 FINS batting 1.000 with our athletes leading prayer with all six opposing teams

On Memorial Day we celebrate our freedom in the United States and remember the countless service men & women who sacrificed their lives - so that we could be free. THANK YOU!

But where did this selfless example come from? Galatians 5:1 says, “For freedom Christ has us free…”

Jesus paid the ultimate price to rescue us from our sins and in doing so, gave us the true example of love and what it means to “lay one’s life down for his friends” - John 15:13.

Grateful for the cross and the act of love that changed the world forever and still transforms hearts today!

What a fun weekend! We played some great teams, going 1-1-2. Every team and coach was receptive to prayer and our love for Jesus! Our athletes boldly led prayer with their opponents and circled up in prayer with each other many times! The energy was up and there was so much laughing, bonding, and encouragement!

Our defense was 🔥 fielding 95%, committing only 5 errors across all 4 games!
Our pitchers #1 Makayla Ketchum, #21 Claire Delgado, and #10 Hannah Blotkamp threw an average of 57% strikes, allowing only 24% of batters getting hits and 74% of that was weak contact!

EVERY player got a hit this weekend, with a team average of .326 🙌🏽500 #24 Harper Lee455 #10 Hannah Blotkamp444 #16 Piper Minehart375 #4 Hadleigh Conrad & #21 Claire Delgado

Theme of the weekend was Peace.

When we surrender all of the big emotions we find ourselves facing while we play the sport we love, His spirit grows peace within us!

In John 14:27, Jesus promises His followers a different kind of peace — one that stays steady even in stressful seasons. The Bible calls this shalom: complete peace, wholeness, and rest found in Him.”
