Fort Dodge Senior High students Anthony Newsome and Cobey Applegate made the short trip over to Iowa Central today for a welding competition.

The two students had 2.5 hours to weld together a fire pit and were judged on the quality of the welds, welding/grinding the parts according to the supplied drawings, as well as how the parts were fit together.

The two young men applied the knowledge and skills learned in our Industrial Tech classes and took home first place in the competition! Congrats gentlemen! Way to show off those !
