Every Forward Step Endurance

Every Forward Step Endurance Running coach Michelle Foster specializes in trail and ultrarunning and is dedicated to guiding athletes in their pursuit of becoming stronger happier runners.

https://linktr.ee/mfostercoach Michelle grew up the daughter of a small town track coach running the windy bluffs of western Nebraska. Whether it was boxes in the basement, hurdles in middle school, or playing rugby while getting her BS in Biology at the University of Wyoming, Michelle always preferred running with at least a few obstacles in the way. Trail running was a great fit. After moving to

Colorado and taking advantage of all the mountains in her backyard, Michelle has competed in many trail races including the Crazy Legs 10k, Antelope Dash 8 miler and the Black Squirrel Half Marathon. After moving up in distance to the Blue Sky Trail Marathon she pushed for a intimidating new challenge and completed the Gnar Slam in 2019 and 2020, running her first ultra distance races by completing the Quad Rock 50 miler and the Never Summer 100k in the process. She has also completed the 2020 Never Summer 100k, the 2020 August fires edition of the Quad Rock 50 miler and the Bear 100. Michelle is a UESCA certified running coach, a member of the Gnar Running Team and an Expert Ultrarunning Coach for Carmichael Training Systems. She is an advocate for the increased participation of women in trail running and organizes a weekly trail women’s speed training group. Michelle is dedicated to helping runners of all abilities reach their personal performance goals.

It’s was one of those cold drifted snow mornings that remind us these trail workouts require some mental flexibility and emphasize that we’re training by effort not pace. Our knees, ankles and hip flexors did some bonus work as well.

I tried to catch the northern lights and I’m not sure I managed it, but I did see some runner’s lights.
