As a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, NRA certified Chief Range Safety Officer and Basic Pistol Instructor; it is my personal mission to help further the education of firearms safety, marksmanship, and personal protection to the local community. -NC Concealed Carry Handgun Certification Course— 8 hour course mandated by NC law, to get students certified as part of the application process of obtaining their NC Concealed Carry Permit . Classroom education and outdoor shooting qualification are a part of this training. We will do classroom demonstrations and exercises to have students engage with the topics they are learning about. This helps students safely handle firearms in a low-risk environment. It is important to note that the NC CCH Course focuses on NC Law and is merely an itroduction into all areas of responsible gun ownership. To be truly profficient in the use of firearms it is highly suggested to seek more training and focus on regular practice.
*No previous experience is required for the course, although I do recommend my other services before attending.*
-Basic Pistol Course — 2 hour course (one-on-one training or private group instruction). Introduction to firearms safety and handling for individuals with little to no firearms experience. Partial time is spent in the classroom learning the basics of safe firearms handling and the fundamentals of marksmanship. We then travel to the outdoor range for the remainder of the time to put these skills to use to alleviate the anxiety of putting those first shots on target. In my experience, students who participate in this course typically produce the most gratifying results. This is because the only things they apply to firing a handgun are the absolute, correct skills which are learned from this course.
-Private Pistol Instruction—hourly instruction (one-on-one training or private group instruction). This time is spent solely on the range as I coach individuals to sharpen their skills when it comes to shooting/drawing procedures with a firearm. Great for new and experienced shooters (and everyone in-between). For those with little previous experience we can work at your pace to make you more comfortable with operating a firearm. Private Pistol Instruction is also excellent for intermediate and experienced shooters looking to hone and sharpen their basic marksmanship skills.
*This service is great for returning students who have already taken my Basic Pistol Course, or have already obtained their Concealed Carry Certification.*
-Firearms Consultations—an hourly (one-on-one service) where I will assist you in the process of finding a firearm that suits your personal needs. While many firearms look generally the same, there are a lot of subtle differences to take into considerations. Knowing what to look for and the right questions to ask can help tailor the firearm to you specifically, and this is where I come in. I will use my current knowledge, as well as my previous experience of working in gun-sales, to assist you in purchasing the correct firearm for your needs, and make the process enjoyable and rewarding.
-NRA Chief Range Safety Officer—I offer consulting services pertaining to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Range Safety, and certifying Range Safety Officers (RSO). This process can help Range Operators save money on their insurance policies, optimize square footage for revenue, as well as create a safer more inviting environment for their customers. These services can also be offered to private property owners who are looking to create a safe range for their own personal use.
