Follansbee Youth Basketball The Follansbee Youth Basketball League is back! This league will be open to children residing in Brooke County, from kindergarten to fifth-grade entrants.

We are excited to provide the youth with the knowledge, skills, and camaraderie of the game. 🏀

Season Two is in the Books! 🏀

On behalf of the Follansbee Youth Basketball League, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who helped make our second season such a success.

First and foremost, thank you to all of the players and their families. Your enthusiasm, commitment, and support are what make this league possible.

A special thank you to the City of Follansbee for once again allowing us to use Mahan Park throughout the season.

We are also incredibly grateful to our sponsors. Your generosity played a vital role in creating a fun and positive experience for every child in our league. We truly couldn't do it without your support.

To our coaches, thank you for volunteering your time, sharing your knowledge, and investing in these young athletes. Your dedication, patience, and encouragement made a lasting impact on every player.

A special thank you goes out to Follansbee United Methodist Church for donating snacks, Bruce Marshall for running the clock and scoreboard all season, all others that also volunteered to run the clock and scoreboard as well, Skip Cutrone (Vito’s) for providing us with ice for coolers, Iris Ferrell and Shelly Smith for making the kids treat bags, Joe Kafton and Trina Iverson for donating candy for the 4th of July parade, Awesome Signs for making the sponsorship banner, Target for the shirts, and anybody else that we may have missed.

As we wrap up another amazing season, we hope every child had fun, learned valuable basketball fundamentals, built new friendships, and created memories they'll carry with them for years to come.

Hello everyone. Due to extreme temperatures, we are cancelling both Bantam games at 6pm. Fortunately, the weather cools down a little so we will still be playing JV and Varsity games but pushing them back 30 minutes. JV games will start at 7:30 and Varsity games will start at 8:30. We unfortunately have to cancel again due to rain and lightning. We tried to hold out as long as possible, but we are down at the courts right now and it is not looking like it’s going to pass.

Happy 4th of July 🇺🇸

For those riding in the parade, it starts at 7pm, kids should arrive by 6:30 to line up. The floats typically gather on Charles Street at 6th and 7th streets.
