WELLNESS WEDNESDAY
October 28, 2026
Good morning beautiful soul, let your light shine💫
Have you ever noticed a dog shake its body after a stressful moment?
Dogs shake after stressful moments as a way to release tension and reset their bodies, similar to how humans might take a deep breath. This shaking help them cope with anxiety or fear, allowing them to calm down after a stressful experience -& you too can benefit from Shaking Your Body‼️
Body shaking is an exercise designed to release pent-up energy and tension from the body, helping self-regulate emotions and return to a state of emotional balance. Rooted in somatic therapy, which recognizes that emotions are often stored in the body, Shaking can activate our parasympathetic nervous system and signal our bodies to fully relax.
Simply shaking your hands fingers and arms up and down, while lightly bouncing on your heels, is a great way to reduce stress, relieve tension & reset the central nervous system from sympathetic ( fight or flight) to
parasympathetic (rest & digest)
Try it right now & see how fast your body will relax, your mood will lift, you will feel lighter & have happier thoughts.
”Shaking the Tree” — see yourself like a mighty tree shaking up and down, letting any dead leaves and other debris fall to the ground.
Stand with your feet apart, and knees slightly bent in a comfortable position. Then, start shaking, twisting & heel bouncing your body gently, starting with your legs and spreading your movement to the arms, shoulders, chest, and back.
Allow the feelings of shaking to become like a dance rhythm that takes over and feel the vibrations internally.
There is no wrong way to shake your body, just shake it up, shake down to the ground!
Do you need some motivation to get your “whole lotta Shaking going on⁉️?”
