Yesterday was more than just another tournament. It was the end of a chapter that none of us were truly ready to close. 💙🥎
Our 14U Navy girls took the field together one last time, and while we all knew it was their final tournament as this team, I don’t think any of us realized just how emotional that last out would be.
This group wasn’t just another team. They were our very first 14U team. They helped build Delta Elite into what it is today. They believed in us, trusted the process, and became part of the foundation of this organization. They didn’t just wear the jersey they helped create the standard for every team that has followed behind them. And somehow, God wrote the perfect ending.
After battling all day, they walked away as Tournament Champions. 🏆
But years from now, the championship won’t be what we remember most.
We’ll remember the laughter that echoed through the dugout. The dance parties between innings. The early mornings and late nights! The tears after tough losses. The hugs after big wins. The inside jokes that no one else understands. The way they celebrated each other’s successes as if they were their own. We’ll remember watching little girls grow into confident young women right before our eyes.
Some of these girls came to us as teammates, but they’re leaving as sisters.
As coaches, there are moments you wish you could freeze forever, and yesterday was one of those moments. Looking down the line one last time and 14u ,seeing every smile, every hug it reminded us why we do this. This has never been just about softball. It’s been about building young women, lifelong friendships, and a family that will always have a place in each other’s hearts.
To our parents… thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your daughters, for the miles traveled, the weekends spent at the ballpark, the cheers from the stands, and for believing in what Delta Elite stands for. We couldn’t have done this without you.
To our girls… thank you for every memory, every laugh, every lesson, and every ounce of heart you poured into this program. You have left fingerprints all over Delta Elite, and your legacy will never be forgotten
But this team… this family… this sisterhood… will always be our first.
Congratulations, Champions. Thank you for giving this chapter the ending it deserved.
Here’s to HSU. Once Delta Elite, always Delta Elite. We love you forever. 🧡💙🥎 let’s go have some fun in HSU!
