Some more pics of the bear cubs from the other day destroying the deer rope. As you can see mom gets in on the action. Not sure if she’s showing them how to mess up things properly or she was tired of them taking too long. Either way I see where the cubs get their shenanigans from.

At Fox and Bear outdoors we use the stuff we sell, try new things so we can confidently discuss the best option for your hunting success. What have we learned so far this year? Helium climbing sticks and Muddy tree stands make a dynamite light setup for quick tree stand placement deep in the bear woods when a bait turns hot. Wildlife Research Golden Rope setup to attract and pattern bucks works extremely well to attract curious cubs hell bent on destruction. Good thing this set came with three ropes because these two rascals made off with the first rope deep into the cedar swamp. Lesson learned.

A Vortex 1-4 scope on top of some good horsepower is our preferred setup and optic for black bears. The 3-9 is the oldie but goodie that everyone has on their deer r***e that generally doubles as their bear gun. However the lower power helps keep the whole scope from just being a black fur ball. We have the illuminated 1-4’s in stock if you want to stop by and check them out or if you missed that big swamp bear and are going to blame your optic we can help you there too!

Good luck to all the bear hunters out there on opening day. Pro tip if you have to many birds eating your bait train the cubs to chase the birds away. The little guys love doughnuts as a reward. Ear rubs seem to be loved too. Moms seem to get really mad when you carry them like a puppy, so be careful out there!
