❤️ A note of gratitude from the FRB 12U team and their families to the greater FRB community:

🖤 The Road to Cooperstown that we have been on over the last 9 mos has been quite an experience. It started as just a fundraising effort hoping to defray some of the cost, but it turned into a journey that the FRB community joined us on.

❤️ The outpouring of support - both moral and financial - was truly remarkable.

🖤 It became more than baseball and bigger than just 13 boys and their families; we just can’t thank you enough for being such a special part of it.

❤️ THANK YOU to the FRB Board of Directors for your unwavering support in helping us make this happen.

🖤 THANK YOU to the entire FRB organization for the love you showed us over the last few months and especially last week. We felt it, every step of the way, and we are so grateful to be part of such an amazing community.

WHAT. A. WEEK.

I’m not certain that a group of 12 yr old boys would ever use the word “magical”…so I’ll do it for them. This week has been absolutely MAGICAL. You could see it on their faces and in the way they interact with each other and even with other teams during games. The bonding these boys did off the field was obvious and could be seen and FELT on the field.

These boys are leaving here different than how they came. Not sure that they as kids, or we as their parents, can even find the right words to describe it. Ya know when your heart - not your stomach, your heart - gets butterflies? Simply MAGICAL.

I suspect there will be a few posts over the next few days as we unpack our bags, minds and hearts from the last week… I’d hate for some special sentiments to get lost in the shuffle of 100+ photos….

Going to start with a shout out to the Coaches…

This trip just doesn’t happen without these 4 guys. The mere *bravery* of being willing to live with thirteen twelve year olds for 6 days is out of this world. Can you imagine what it smelled and sounded like in bunkhouse 21A after 2 days, let alone 6?? 😵‍💫🤢

Now add in patience, guidance, coaching and - did I say patience?? - on top of bravery. Boy, if those bunk house walls could talk…

We tip our hats to you, Gus, Ryan, PJ and Pat. Thank you all for a great season and the *friendship* you showed our boys this last week, especially.
