One key to developing a good defensive game is understanding how to create and use frames to your advantage.

This will in turn allow you to be more aggressive and free with your attacks, knowing you can effectively use frames to recover when your initial attacks fail.

Honored and humbled to announce I’ll be participating in this event to help raise money for the Bristol Police Heroes Fund this December 17th.

If you guys don’t know, last Wednesday October 12th two Bristol Connecticut Police Officers were lured into an ambush and executed while responding to a fake Domestic Violence Call. A 3rd officer was shot in the leg once he arrived on scene.

100 Percent of the proceeds will be going to assist these families.

Waiting: There is a time before your match where your preparation is over and now there is nothing but time between you and your opponent. It’s a lonely situation even in a crowded room because you know that soon you’ll be alone on the mat with your opponent. In that time every fear and doubt you have inside you will show itself. Just know this - rest assured that there is another room close by where your opponent sits. He is equally alone and every fear and doubt that he has is making itself heard inside his head just as yours do inside your head. Your nervousness is not unique to you. Your affliction is his affliction too. Once you realize this it’s always a little easier to go out and get to work
