This past fall, Karli and I had the opportunity of a lifetime to spend almost an entire month on the wildest river in North America with some of the best people I know. From sleeping under the stars, to exploring side canyons with stunning views, to navigating through the biggest rapids I’ve ever seen - this trip is truly difficult to put into words. So instead, here’s as many photos from the trip as Instagram will allow me to put into a post (pulling 20 photos from over 1,200 is not an easy feat…). Mother Nature, you are incredible.

Life has been a little bit crazy lately... I recently picked up 2 new jobs and haven't had much time to even think for the last few weeks (not complaining whatsoever - $$$) but I just wanted to interrupt your feeds to post a quick update that I'm still alive and still making the most out of every moment of every day that I'm blessed enough to live. Thank you all for the birthday wishes last week, it was one hell of a powder day I'll tell you that 😍 I would like to offer a formal apology for essentially being a ghost to everyone that reached out to me last Thursday... I may have been a little bit sidetracked 😬❄️

First time posting an iPhone photo in a little while, didn't have my camera on me today but I just couldn't pass on the moment. I absolutely LOVE living in a place where I can get fall and winter all within an hour's drive. I worked just about all day today but it doesn't seem nearly as bad when your view is these beautiful snowy mountains - now we just need the slopes to open ⏳

It seems like most people just look west during sunsets... But I'm really glad I turned around this time because the fire lookout legitimately looked like it was on fire. Coincidence? 🤷🏽‍♂️ Did a little sunset jaunt up Pilchuck last night with Karli to catch the last few scenes of summer. A little sad to see the sun go but I can't wait to get some pow turns in. I've done all the preseason conditioning I could, so now it's time to wait for the flakes to start flying

Went for a little hike last night to try to find snow and as the last of the light was leaving I was stopped in my tracks by the incredible scene unfolding before me. From the snow-capped mountain tops shrouded in clouds all the way down to the parking lot that we call I-90 the Cascade's daily drama played out. I know when we come across moments like these we're supposed to leave the camera packed away and simply soak it in, but after a few minutes left in a trance I caved. Welcome back to the PNW winter, we missed you ❄️❤️

Any challenge you face in life is like climbing a mountain. Even when it feels like you can't go any further, just keep putting that one foot in front of the other... You'll get there. Just don't give up.
This specific hike was the result of a last minute change of plans and within the first 20 minutes we almost turned around because of how much steeper it was than we expected. But we decided to push through, and boy am I glad we did ⛰

Finally got a little bit of moisture here in the Northwest! Oh how nice it is to feel water v***r on your face rather than ash from the forest fires... Even though Starbucks thinks Fall started last week with their preemptive launch of "the PSL", I would say the cooler temps and colorful trails are finally just about here - and I'm perfectly ok with that 😎
