If so, then you're in luck! Dead End Derby is offering a Learn to Skate and Derby 101 program starting on Sunday, August 6th. This program is perfect for beginners of all ages and skill levels.

In this program, you'll learn the basics of roller skating, including how to fall safely, how to stop, and how to skate backwards. You'll also learn about the rules of roller derby and how to play the game.

The program will meet every Sunday from 4pm-6pm at Celebration Stadium in Wainoni, Christchurch. The cost is $35 per month with own gear or $40 per month using hire gear.

It's the first Sunday of the month! That means it is new intake day here at Dead End Derby Christchurch - we have skates and safety gear to borrow, all you need to bring is yourself in gear suitable for skating, a drink bottle and an attitude to have fun and learn some
new skills.

Day and Time: Sundays, 4pm-6pm

You don't have to become a derby player if the full contact isn't your thing - you can get involved in many ways, including becoming a ref, or a non-skating official (NSO).
Cost: Just $35 per month with own gear or $40 per month using hire gear.
Limited gear hire is available, advanced sign up preferred. Otherwise, bring your skates, kneepads, elbow pads, wrist guards, helmet and a mouthguard.

Our August intake starts on Sunday 6 August and then a new intake every first Sunday of the month all year round.

Shout out to Manchester, NH Parks & Recreation and the JFK Coliseum in Manchester for having a triple dose of derby featuring Junior Roller Derby, Sanctioned Women’s Derby, and an All-Gender Mixed Roller Derby game—all in one day!

Juniors Game hosted by New England Skate Riots Junior Roller Derby:
Jaws vs. Killer Cods, and L2/L3 Mash-up! Doors open at 1:30 PM, first whistle at 2.

Women’s Sanctioned hosted by NH Roller Derby:
Doors open at 4:30 PM, first whistle at 5. Our friends, Fog City Rollers (Saint John Roller Derby), based in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada make the trip to the USA for a sanctioned game against the NH Roller Derby All-Stars.

All-Gender Scrimmage hosted by NH Roller Derby:
Then at 7pm, watch as NHRD hosts an all-gender public mixed scrimmage with members from Maine Roller Derby, Toronto Mens Roller Derby, Casco Bay Roller Derby, Granite State Roller Derby, Green Mountain Roller Derby, and NH Roller Derby!

*Re-entry and admission required for the adult games hosted by NHRD.

This season, the Brawlers will be facing off against some of the top teams in the Northeast, including the Boston Massacre, the New Hampshire Roller Derby, and the Providence Roller Derby. So whether you're a longtime fan or you're new to the sport, you're sure to be entertained.
