I have been bad at posting! Im sorry about that!

I want to hear your thoughts on a topic I was speaking with 2 different people about today. I wanted to hear your thoughts about body image, body focused media, and or the focus on weight or looks in relation to your self-worth or self-esteem. I for one am saddened by the influence that the media and social media have on young kiddos growing up. I am not just focusing on young girls. I think sources have way more impact than we think they do. I think it effects more than just the kiddos also.

I want to challenge you to work on accepting yourself. I’m not asking you to love everything about yourself right off the bat. But I am challengeing you to work on self-acceptance. I’m not saying stay stagnant and stop working on personal growth. Everyone should strive for personal growth in all areas of living - emotional/mental health, physical health, etc.

I am challenging you to take time to care for YOU today. I want you to take a few moments (or however long it takes you) to write down (yes, I want you to write it down 😊) 3 things you are grateful for. Write 3 things about yourself (not all physical) and write 3 things about your life that you can be happy about. I want you to then write 2-3 things you might be struggling with recently and/or 2-3 short term goals for this week. Make the goals realistic, achievable, and time-orientated of that helps you. Example: I want to workout 1 time more than I normally would this week. If you are used to high intensity workouts, challenge yourself to do a workout that is something like yoga or walking, or maybe something that helps you feel more present or mindful. Whatever works for you! Make it fun, not torturous. Make it something you enjoy. Do whatever it may be with love for yourself, not to punish yourself.

I want your goals/activities to be something that will help you be gentle with yourself. Take time to work on being ok with yourself. I want you to take the focus away from your body/shell. Please focus on the good things about you. Your body is capable, strong, protective. Your body gives you the strength to get through your day. It has bones and muscles to help you move and do things you want to do. It gives you stamina mentally to finish tasks throughout your day. Your body does so much more for you than you even realize!

Thanks for reading this long post. Please reach out if you need ideas, someone to chat with, or anything! I’m here to help if I can!

As always, stay postive, stay healthy, and stay content ♥️

The weather is cold, but it’s warm inside!!! Don’t let the ❄️ and cold 🥶 keep you down!! Warm up with some exercise, or just moving your body. A body in motion stays in motion. To me that means so many things.

1. The more we move as we age, the better we continue to move. I for one don’t want to lose ability or agility! Keep moving, your body will reward you.

2. The more active you are, the healthier you stay! Especially in cold and flu season. And typically the healthier you are, the faster you recover.

3. The more you practice, the better you become. Whether it’s strength, agility, balance/coordination, stamina, endurance, or whatever else you’re working on. Keep trying and reap improvements. Progress is progress, no matter how small. Never diminish you’re progress. Just keep trying

What are your goals? What things are you working towards improving lately? What do you want to work on? 🏃‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️🏋️‍♀️🏋️⛹🏼‍♀️⛹🏽🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏾‍♂️ share your goals in the comments!

Stay ACTIVE and stay WARM!

Coffee tastes a little sweeter when you add cinnamon to it! Everything does. Cinnamon enhances sweetness. Try adding a little cinnamon to your coffee with less or no sweetener and let me know your thoughts!? I LOVE cinnamon, especially in my coffee ☕️ ☺️

Joxer says get your exercise in while it’s early! It might give you more energy if you get moving. Plus you’ll burn more throughout the day. Joxer is tired, but he agrees with me 🤪

Hey guys! Sorry it’s been a while!

I wanted to share a neat moment with you. My client and friend Amber is a wonderful mother. She’s great at demonstrating and teaching healthy things to her kiddo. The importance of demonstrating healthy habits and a healthy lifestyle to your kids is so important! This was from our FaceTime session earlier today. She’s was stretching and her son tried to join along with a little coaxing 😊.

She also showed me an awesome book for kids that had a picture of a weight lifter 🏋️. When her son saw the picture he said “Momma!” He could seee the resemblance of this picture and his mom exercising! He loves trying to play with the dumbbells, but he is a little young (I believe he is not quite 2 years old). Amber does a great job leading by example, and I just wanted to shout her out for doing great things! GO Amber 💪🏼😁💜
