Western Equestrian Team at UCF

The official page for the UCF Western Equestrian Team in Orlando, Florida. During the post-season, we send our top riders to regionals and semi-finals.

The Equestrian Club at the University of Central Florida was founded in 2002 with four members that were the sole caretakers of UCF's Equine Mascot, "Pegasus." Today, the club is considered a "Tier Three" Sport Club at UCF and includes three competitive teams with over 50 members. Coached by Avery Sinclair, the Western Team competes in Zone 5 Region 5 of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association

(IHSA). During the regular season, they compete in two disciplines-- Western Horsemanship and Reining all over the state of Florida. Our 2025-2026 Regional Qualifiers!

⭐️Natalie qualified for regionals at the Rookie B AND Level 1 levels. She will be competing at the Level 1 Level at regionals this weekend!

⭐️Ava qualified for regionals at the beginner level and is now in loping classes!

What a weekend! We competed at the show hosted by this weekend and had a blast. Our girls have been putting in the hard work and it’s paying off!
This was their first IHSA show for Lexi, Grace, Sarah, and Khadija and they did great!
