The Welcome Campbell BBC traveled to Chelsea for the first time this afternoon to play the Monitor BBC. Our great hosts held a clinic on how to hit and move around the bases, coming away with a handy win! The day was filled with great sportsmanship and easy comeraderie between both clubs as some of us reunited with old friends while others grew to love the sport of Vintage Base Ball. We hope to renew this friendship with the Monitors next season and beyond.

We were honored to be awarded the game ball by the Dexter Union Base Ball Club today. To commemorate our first meeting with the Union and also our 1st victory, I asked Mad Dog, Swede and Bucko to sign the ball. All three are long standing members of the Union that we have enjoyed taking the field against for many years in our days with The Royal Oak Wahoos. It was a great day with old friends and new!

Today we took the field against the Union Base Ball Club of Dexter. Our club was honored to share the field with such good company, a great crowd, and a couple of familiar faces. Today was our 1st trip to Ann Arbor and ultimately we were able to walk away with our 1st win as club. The Welcome Campbell’s had a great time sharing the field with our fine friends from Dexter. ⚾️

The Welcome Campbell BBC No.27 had a great time playing in the Memorial day vintage baseball tournament. Our first match of the season with great company and friendly competition. Today was also our clubs first time showing off our snazzy uniforms. 😄

Today's match at home with the Mighty Chelsea Monitors will have to be rescheduled. The chance of rain through the entire match is nearly 100%. Coupled with a high temperature of 53. Less than ideal conditions. (Picture. Just because! Lol)
