It breaks our hearts to share that Florida has already lost 94 children to drowning this year. At this same time last year, the number was 86 — a devastating reminder that these tragedies continue to rise. Behind each number is a precious child whose life was cut short and a family forever changed. Drowning is silent, quick, and preventable, and we must continue working together to spread awareness, teach water safety, and protect our children. Even one life lost is too many.

Every number is a name! 80 children in Florida have lost their life to a drowning this year, and each loss is a reminder that water safety saves lives. Let’s work together to prevent the next tragedy because we MUST DO BETTER!

We saw a record number of 18 drownings in the month of July. How is this even possible that in one month we basically lost a full kindergarten class?? My heart is shattered for every single one of these families!

Drownings are PREVENTABLE!
1- ADULT SUPERVISION
2- Doors/Windows - Locked and ALARMED at all times
3 - Remove/Lock pet doors
4 - FENCE THAT POOL!!!!!!
5- Quality self-rescue swim lessons - do your research! Make sure they are certified, insured and that your child will learn how to self-rescue.
6- Learn CPR

Looking for a new swimsuit this summer? Go for the bright colors, patterns, and neons!

Brighter colors are not only easier to spot outside of the water but inside of the water too, especially in the case of a submersion.

Blues, blacks, and other dark colors can become hard to see with water distortion – making it especially challenging to discern if someone is in need of emergency attention.
