It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here, but don’t let that fool you, I’ve still been steady working on baits and messing around with new patterns behind the scenes. Finally got out yesterday and fished the Upper Current before the heat tried to melt me and brought along a prototype pattern I’ve been working on to see how it would do, and let’s just say it was a success. I also figured I’d try my hand at making a little video edit with some of the fish we caught. I’m definitely no professional editor, but I think it turned out pretty darn good. Enjoy!

We want to say a genuine thank you to Hooked on Vets for giving us the opportunity to donate and be a small part of something that means a whole lot more than fishing. Supporting an event that gives back to our veterans is something we’re truly proud to be a part of. It’s an honor to have had something on the table for it, and we hope it finds its way into some good water. Huge congratulations to the winner of our raffle item. We’re already looking forward to the next one and plan to keep showing up and donating for many years to come.

Pale Rider struck again last night. Ended up with a whole gaggle of rainbows in the net. Not sure what the official term is, but four of them seemed like they got the memo. All came on the Pale Rider midget jerkbait tuned with that slow, controlled sink that just hangs in the strike zone longer than it should. Even in the dark, that faint blue shift comes alive. Any bit of ambient light moon, stars, headlamp catches it just enough to throw a subtle flash, like something barely alive trying not to be seen. These fish aren’t feeding on sight; they’re hunting off vibration, silhouette, and instinct. A soft twitch, a long pause, and it’s over. Now, these weren’t the pigs we got into last night, but proof’s in the pudding: Leadbelt works.

Pitch black last night, they weren’t seeing much, just movement and a shadow. Quick snap, dead stop… and that’s when it got crushed. Taylor stuck a 20” HAWG on a Pale Rider midget, and it earned a spot on Lilly’s Landing Trophy Board. Not a bad night. Built for low light, proven when there is none.
