Michael Goheen Horsemanship Michael Goheen is a native Texan who grew up in Ft. Worth. He is available for clinics, group lesson For me, horses are more than just a way to make a living.

At 17, I found my Lord and through my faith in Him and my passion for horses I have been saved. I grew up as an inner city kid in the Ft. Worth area. There was a stable nearby and I would ride my bike there as often as I could. I would offer to clean stalls, brush horses or anything else they needed for the opportunity to ride a horse even if it was only for 10 minutes. I'm sure I was a pest, bu

t I am thankful the owner didn't kill that passion in me. I have always known horses would be a major part of my life. The Devil may still have a hold of me at times, but his grip is getter weaker every day. As I have grown in my horsemanship journey, I believe my true calling is in teaching. I love to see the changes in both the horse and rider when they leave a clinic. I get great satisfaction knowing I am helping them to form a better partnership and understanding of each other. I will continue to learn from my mentors each year as I believe there is always room for improvement. I have traveled to Australia and attended clinics with a wonderful horseman/friend there for a month and came away with more tools for my arsenal. In 2018 I was one of the c**t starters at the Legacy of Legends. It was a great honor and a wonderful experience I will always treasure. I look forward to meeting you and your horse down the trail in the future.

We are putting out feelers to see if there is any interest in a video clinic here at our place in Graham, TX. Probably late April or May.

Video clinics are a great tool. You may think you are/are not doing something but the camera doesn't lie. It's so helpful to see it so you can feel it!

It will include the following:

1. Class size is 3-5 riders max

2. You will be coached and videoed in the morning, break for lunch while we go over the video together then back out again to practice.

3. Lunch is included

4. $250 for class

5. Class is 9am to 4:30

Let us know if you are interested or if you would like to see another type of clinic.

I had a great stay in Nebraska bringing back a couple training horses and giving some lessons. Thank you Phoenix Equestrian Center (Janine) for your generous hospitality once again. Thank you Carol and Holly Olsen for trusting me with Rio and Walter. I'm sure they are happy to be home again! Thank you to Jules and Olivia for setting up lessons at Ponca Hills Farm. I love spending time with such a great group of riders. Hope to see you all again soon. On to Montana!
