The Purdy family is near and dear to our hearts.

For the past 6 years, Jared Purdy has faced lymphoma with remarkable determination through inpatient chemotherapy treatments every 3-4 weeks and frequent travel for care. Despite the challenging demands of treatment, Jared remains devoted to those around him through coaching, mentoring, and giving back. More recently, his wife Sarah received the devastating diagnosis of glioblastoma and has begun treatment at Mayo. In the face of unimaginable circumstances, she has met this challenge with
bravery and grace, fighting with everything she has while continuing to pour her love and strength into her family.

💛 Stick It To Cancer 2026 — THANK YOU! 🏒💛

We are incredibly proud to share that Stick It To Cancer 2026 has officially wrapped up, and because of the generosity of our community, $40,725.43 was raised to support Lend A Hand Up and local families experiencing hardship due to cancer and other health issues.

This amazing event would not be possible without the hard work and heart of our student-athletes, coaches, families, sponsors, and supporters.

From wearing the SITC shirts, to buying the SITC shirts, baking, bidding, donating, coming to the Buffalo Wild Wings event, and showing up for the games— this community showed what it means to rally around one another. Since 2010, Stick It To Cancer has continued to make a real impact - a combined $700,000.
