Cape Cod Islanders Proud Member of the NA3HL Cape Cod Islanders Tier III Junior Hockey, NA3HL Throughout the 1970s hockey was played at the Cape Cod Coliseum.

During this time the area hockey teams developed a fan base, and relationship with the community. This became the seed for the Cape Cod Islanders of Hyannis. From the 1980's until 2008 hockey remained a sport that the community and fans wished for. As the finishing touches were being put on the Hyannis Youth and Community Center, hockey was again alive on Cape Cod. Current Head Coach and Presiden

t, Dan Hodge, has built a successful franchise which has won back to back IJHL regular season and playoff championships. Throughout the past two seasons, Hodge has been named the Hockey Night in Boston Coach of the Year. "All of these accomplishments could not have been possible without the help and support of my coaching staff. I would not have had the success I have had without people like Wes Fries, Mike Nugnes and most recently Dave Gove." The current version of the IJHL's champs, the Cape Cod Islanders, open their season on September 9, 2011.
