We are thrilled to host 5th-Degree Black Belt Ken Perry for a special workshop on Adaptive Martial Arts!
With over 30 years of teaching experience and black belts in both American Kenpo and Small Circle Jiu Jitsu, Ken brings a perspective that is truly one-of-a-kind. He made history by becoming the first adaptive martial artist to complete the entire American Kenpo curriculum—from white belt to 5th-degree black belt—entirely from a wheelchair.
Ken’s approach is remarkable: he has deconstructed and rebuilt the entire Kenpo system, finding ways to adapt every movement while keeping 100% of the core principles and concepts intact. Rather than removing elements of the system, he shows students how to optimize their own unique movement and "work with what they’ve got." From our own experience, we can assure you that Ken’s insights will help any student—regardless of ability—develop their martial arts in ways an able-bodied instructor simply cannot provide.
