FCPR is delivering a new, one of a kind experience to children aged 11-14! Step into the shoes (sandals) of a lifeguard for 3 days to get hands on experience and see exactly what it takes to become a lifeguard!

Participants will learn lifesaving techniques and get a first hand look at the Falls City Aquatic Center's Emergency Action Plan along with other facility safety procedures.

Falls City Community Medical Center is sponsoring the program to provide each participant with a free t-shirt and pizza party on the last day!

Cold weather won’t last forever—summer is coming! Falls City Parks & Recreation is now accepting applications for all summer positions at the Falls City Aquatic Center.
Apply now and be part of a great summer season!

Applications can be emailed to [email protected] or dropped off at City Hall or Prichard Auditorium during regular business hours.

Applicants must be at least 14 years of age for Support Staff, and 15 years of age if applying for Lifeguard.

Imagine this: You look out from your front porch and see a life-saving device just a few hundred feet away. You have the peace of mind knowing that if a cardiac emergency happened in your own home, your family would have access to an AED — available 24/7, 365 days a year.

For families enjoying a baseball or softball game, or for anyone active around Dallas Jones Park and Grandview Park, this peace of mind is now a reality.

We extend our deepest thanks to the generous donors in our small town who made this possible, and to those who worked tirelessly to raise the necessary funds. Your dedication has truly given our community the gift of preparedness.

Finally, we want to thank all EMS personnel for their support and for joining us at Saturday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony. Your commitment to safety and your passion for protecting our community do not go unnoticed.

Together, we’ve taken an important step toward saving lives — and that’s something every one of us can be proud of.

In the event of a cardiac emergency:
Simply call 911 and provide your location — either Dallas Jones Park or Grandview Park — along with the nature of the emergency. Dispatch will then provide you with a code to unlock the AED cabinet. Using the AED is straightforward: just turn it on and follow the voice-guided prompts. The device gives clear, step-by-step instructions, making it simple for anyone to use — even in a high-stress situation.

The 2025 swim season at the Falls City Aquatic Center has officially come to a close — but before we go, we want to shine the spotlight on three incredible leaders who kept things running smoothly all summer long!

Kelsey, Allison, and Riley have been the heart of our day-to-day operations, putting in long hours, solving problems on the fly, and keeping our team and guests smiling. We couldn’t have done it without them! Thank you for everything you do!
