LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ. — The countdown is officially on for the inaugural Monster Energy IHRA World Cup, personal watercraft racing, action sports and entertainment head to Lake Havasu State Park, September 15–20, 2026.
Some of the best personal watercraft racers from across the United States and around the world are expected to descend on Lake Havasu to compete for the opportunity to become an IHRA World Cup Champion.
With racing across amateur, veteran and professional divisions, alongside Closed Course, Endurance and Freestyle competition, IHRA is preparing for diverse racing lineups fans will see on the water.
The addition of Monster Energy as title sponsor of the inaugural IHRA World Cup is a major milestone for the event and a significant show of support for the continued growth of personal watercraft racing. They have a long history of supporting action sports and some of the world's leading athletes and events, making the partnership a natural fit as IHRA looks to establish the World Cup as a major international event on the watercraft racing calendar.
Monster Energy will have a significant on-site presence throughout the week, bringing its activation semi rig to Lake Havasu and sampling throughout the event with a live DJ playing music.
Then, when racing concludes on Friday, the entertainment will continue with a Monster Energy concert Friday night, bringing competitors, fans and the Lake Havasu community together away from the racecourse.
The inaugural World Cup is also being made possible with the support of Yamaha, Jet Trim, Go Lake Havasu, Progressive Insurance, VP Race Fuels, Lake Havasu State Park, Pro Watercraft, among others helping bring the international racing community to one of the most iconic personal watercraft destinations in the world.
The World Cup Fan & Kid Zone and Vendor Village is set to feature a collection of personal watercraft and action-sports brands, including Yamaha, Jet Trim, JTPLT, Fast Powersports, Bomber Eyewear, Fast Powersports, Stubby's BBQ, Twisted Traction, Marine One, Kommander, HSI and many more, giving spectators the opportunity to see products, meet representatives from throughout the industry and experience the wider personal watercraft community along with massage and hydration vendors.
Traxxas RC Cars will also be bringing its sales semi to Lake Havasu and creating an RC test track in the pits, allowing fans to get hands-on with Traxxas vehicles throughout World Cup.
Fans will be treated to Freestyle Motocross demonstrations, bringing another high-energy action sport into the World Cup weekend.
Between world-class racing, FMX, the Monster Energy concert, brand activations, vendors and the Traxxas RC test track.
Opportunities are still available for vendors, sponsors and VIP viewing areas at the Monster Energy IHRA World Cup.
