The Flock headed over to the Eldon pasture today for the Eldon Gothic Day Parade with Eldon Fire and Rescue. Fun was had by all. Thank you to Eldon Fire and Rescue for letting us ride in your rescue boat. Licorice and Cocoa recommend heading over to the Eldon Fire Station for their breakfast tomorrow morning!

Today the Flock had the opportunity to give back to one of the communities our athletes live in. Instead of practicing our sports today, the Flock trotted over to Eldon, Iowa to help the local firefighters deep clean their fire station. Thanks so much for all you do for your community, Eldon Firefighters and Rescue! The Flock will be riding along with the firefighters for the Eldon Gothic Days Parade on Saturday! Stay tuned for more shenanigans with Cocoa and Licorice!!

Special Olympics Iowa Summer Games, Competition day 2 is in the bag. Cannon competed in the 800m and mini-javelin, Cordell competed in mini-javelin, and Patrick competed in shot put. So proud of these amazing young men! They have all 3 gone above and beyond with their fantastic sportsmanship and their compassion for other athletes. We had a fantastic day hanging out, enjoying the Olympic village, meeting new friends, and spending time with our team. We completed the day by having another team dinner at Barnes Family Inclusive Park here in Ames. Stay tuned to see what kind of shenanigans Licorice and Cocoa will be up to for the final day of competition!!!
