WAY TO GO, AUBREY!! Aubrey Atkins placed 8TH OVERALL at state after a great race today in the 100m hurdle finals!! Aubrey ran a PR time in the prelims to get a spot in finals, then ran a very solid race to earn a spot on the state finals podium!!🏅We are so proud of the season that she has had and look forward to her junior season next year!! GREAT JOB!

Jayla Hammond finishes her first trip to State with a 12th place finish!! Making finals at State is already a huge accomplishment, but to do it with a PR in your first State experience is MASSIVE going into her Senior year!! Great Season Jayla!!

Track is an unpredictable sport, and we unfortunately false started in our 4x200 prelims. We are still so proud of these girls and the hard work they put in this season to make it to state!

AND we had a great conclusion to the day with the 300m hurdles!! Both Aubrey and Hannah ran great races, with Hannah finishing 2nd in her heat with a PR of 47.39 and Aubrey finishing with a time of 48.03! Great job, ladies!!

Thanks to all the family, friends and the boys track athletes that came down to support these ladies today!

Aubrey Atkins runs a PR and ADVANCES TO THE FINALS IN THE 100M HURDLES at the IHSA 2A State Finals with a PR of 15.32. LET'S GO!

CONGRATULATIONS TO JAYLA HAMMOND!! She qualified for STATE FINALS in the shot put with her PR throw of 10.99m!!! She will compete tomorrow at 10am!!! Way to go, Jayla!!🎉

The Boys team competed in the Pontiac Sectional last night and had a handful of PRs, a couple near misses for State, and 5 state qualifying events!!🎉

Congratulations to our State Qualifiers!!
Collin Kilgus - 100 Meters
Tagen Fehr - 110 Hurdles and 300 Hurdles
Holden Gerdes - 1600 Meters
4x400 Relay - Collin Kilgus, Tagen Fehr, Griffin Tredennick, and Holden Gerdes

We had multiple near misses with the 4x800 missing qualifying by 0.01 seconds, Griffin in the 800 by 0.74 seconds, and Cooper Fehr having 3 solid attempts at the state height in High Jump.

Highlights of the meet:
Kinser Benjamin PR'd in Shot by 10 inches
Michael Huette PR'd in Shot by 3 feet!
Sergio Osuna got over his slump in the Disc
Both Orrin Schaffer and Nate Buchenau got their hips up to the bar in Pole Vault about a foot over what they normally do.
Spencer Ray PR'd in the 100
Avery Dunn made finals in the Long Jump

Overall this has been an extremely successful season and we are looking forward to our Boys that get to finish their season on the Big Blue!
