Join us tonight as the Knights take on Legacy Christian Academy at 7:00 PM at The Nisch!

We will honor our seniors with a special ceremony beginning at 6:30 PM, thirty minutes before first pitch.

Friends and family are also encouraged to come out early at 5:00 PM for a cookout and senior celebration as we recognize this incredible group of athletes and all they have meant to our program.

Come out and help us celebrate our seniors and cheer on the Knights! ⚾

⚾️ Senior Spotlight ⚾️

Tonight we celebrate senior Owen Tishaus ( #9)!

For the past 12 years, Owen has dedicated himself to the game of baseball, bringing hard work, leadership, and determination to the Alter Baseball program. As a right-handed pitcher and first baseman, Owen has been a key contributor both on the mound and at the plate.

Before coming to Alter, Owen played for Dayton Sting and Pauer Baseball and attended Incarnation grade school. Outside of baseball, he has been involved in Student Ambassadors, Dare to Care, Key Club, and National Honor Society—showing his commitment both in the classroom and in the community.

One of Owen’s favorite pregame traditions is listening to “Jerry Rice” by BabyTron to get locked in before games. His favorite MLB team is the Cincinnati Reds.

A favorite Alter Baseball memory? “Pitching a no-hitter against CJ sophomore year.”
And what will he miss most? “My juniors (Hoop and Mouse).”

After graduation, Owen plans to attend the University of Cincinnati to study Architectural Engineering.

⚾️ Senior Spotlight ⚾️

Tonight we celebrate senior Owen Thompson ( #11)!

For the past 14 years, Owen has dedicated himself to the game of baseball, bringing leadership, versatility, and determination to the Alter Baseball program. During his career at Alter, Owen played shortstop, pitcher, and catcher—always willing to do whatever the team needed to compete.

Before Alter, Owen played for Dayton Impact and attended Incarnation grade school. In addition to baseball, he has also been a member of the golf team. His accomplishments on the field include earning All-GCL Second Team honors and receiving honorable mention recognition.

One of Owen’s favorite pregame traditions is grabbing Cane’s with the boys before games, and his favorite MLB team is the Cincinnati Reds.

A favorite Alter Baseball memory?“Hitting the walk-off on Senior Night last year.”

And what will he miss most?“The long bus rides with the team.”

After graduation, Owen plans to attend Ohio University to study Exercise Science on a pre-physical therapy track.

Owen also shared some advice for his younger teammates:“Be the best role model you can be to everyone because you never know who’s out there watching.”

⚾️ Senior Spotlight ⚾️

Tonight we celebrate senior Noah Smith ( #8)!

For 14 years, Noah has dedicated himself to the game of baseball, bringing versatility, leadership, and energy to the Alter Baseball program.

Throughout his high school career, Noah played multiple positions including left field, center field, right field, second base, and pitcher—always stepping up wherever the team needed him most.

Before Alter, Noah played for Dayton Impact and Dayton Classics and attended Incarnation grade school. Beyond baseball, he has also been heavily involved at Alter through National Honor Society, Key Club, Ambassadors Club, Chess Club, Science Olympiad, and Academic Team.

Noah’s accomplishments both on and off the field are impressive, including earning the Monsignor Breslin Scholarship, Honor Roll recognition, and a Varsity Baseball Letterman award.

One of Noah’s favorite baseball memories was an incredible relay play at McNick: “Playing at McNick, a double cut relay from me in center field to Joey at shortstop to third for an out!”
And what will he miss most? “The bus rides after a win, singing!”

After graduation, Noah will attend Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he plans to major in Electrical Engineering.

Noah shared this message for the younger teammates: “Stay confident, have fun with it, and take advantage of having games to care about.”

He also wanted to thank his coaches and parents: “Thank you for encouraging me and helping me become a better baseball player as I matured from a boy to a man.
Thank you to my parents for supporting and encouraging me to stick with my favorite sport all these years!”

Tonight we celebrate senior Noah Reed ( #5)!

For the past 13 years, Noah has dedicated himself to the game of baseball, bringing energy, positivity, and hard work to the Alter Baseball program. As an outfielder, he’s been a valuable teammate and competitor both on and off the field.

Before coming to Alter, Noah played for Dayton Impact and attended Incarnation grade school. One of his favorite pregame traditions is grabbing an energy drink before games to get locked in and ready to compete.

Noah’s favorite Alter Baseball memory was beating Valley View on Senior Night last year, and what he’ll miss most is the time spent with his teammates—laughing, talking, and making memories during practices.

After graduation, Noah plans to attend Ohio University to study Economics.

Noah also shared some advice for the younger players: “Really take everything in because it goes by super fast.”

⚾️ Senior Spotlight ⚾️

Tonight we celebrate senior Thomas Drake!

Thomas has spent the last 12 years playing the game he loves and has been a huge part of the Alter Baseball family. As a catcher and first baseman, he’s brought toughness, leadership, and dedication to the field every time he puts on the uniform.

Before Alter, Thomas played for the Dayton Classics and has also been involved as a hockey goalie at St. Charles—showing his competitiveness and work ethic across multiple sports.

One of Thomas’ proudest accomplishments was winning a batting title, and one of his favorite baseball memories was hitting his first double. When asked what he’ll miss most, his answer was simple: the bus rides with his teammates.

After graduation, Thomas plans to attend Otterbein University to study Mechanical Engineering while continuing his baseball career.
