⚾️ Senior Spotlight ⚾️
Tonight we celebrate senior Noah Smith ( #8)!
For 14 years, Noah has dedicated himself to the game of baseball, bringing versatility, leadership, and energy to the Alter Baseball program.
Throughout his high school career, Noah played multiple positions including left field, center field, right field, second base, and pitcher—always stepping up wherever the team needed him most.
Before Alter, Noah played for Dayton Impact and Dayton Classics and attended Incarnation grade school. Beyond baseball, he has also been heavily involved at Alter through National Honor Society, Key Club, Ambassadors Club, Chess Club, Science Olympiad, and Academic Team.
Noah’s accomplishments both on and off the field are impressive, including earning the Monsignor Breslin Scholarship, Honor Roll recognition, and a Varsity Baseball Letterman award.
One of Noah’s favorite baseball memories was an incredible relay play at McNick: “Playing at McNick, a double cut relay from me in center field to Joey at shortstop to third for an out!”
And what will he miss most? “The bus rides after a win, singing!”
After graduation, Noah will attend Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he plans to major in Electrical Engineering.
Noah shared this message for the younger teammates: “Stay confident, have fun with it, and take advantage of having games to care about.”
He also wanted to thank his coaches and parents: “Thank you for encouraging me and helping me become a better baseball player as I matured from a boy to a man.
Thank you to my parents for supporting and encouraging me to stick with my favorite sport all these years!”
