WARRIORS HEAT UP

The Warriors Cross Country team took on the Bluford Bash early this morning! Everyone who ran today set a new Personal Record!

Girls JV (1.25 miles)

Emma Webb (9:55 new PR)

Emma met a really fun milestone for young CC runners, finishing the JV race in under 10 minutes!

Harper Winstead (12:15 new PR)

Harper was sick at the beginning of this week and was still able to push herself to a new PR by another 39 seconds!

Boys JV (1.25 miles)

Lincoln Sheets (11:00.09 new PR)

Lincoln had another great race today with an amazing home stretch! Lincoln got almost 3 minutes better last week, and cut off another 2 minutes today!

Girls Varsity (1.75 miles)

Ada Waters (13:32.00 PR)

Ada ran an excellent race today claiming 27th out of 68 runners! Ada stepped up big time during practice this week the results from today prove just that!

Logan Virgin (14:15.88 PR)

Logan also had the best week of practice yet! Logan ran an awesome race with a full sprint on the last 75 meters to set a new PR!

Khimari Tucker (22:02)

Khimari followed the lead of the other 7th Graders this week and worked extremely hard during practice. Today she beat her best time and set a new PR by almost 3 whole minutes!

Pinckneyville 204 Invite

Another meet in the books, Warriors stepped up today! The Warriors were missing a couple varsity runners, though that didn’t stop the JV and open runners from getting better.

Emma got her first Cross Country Medal today, finishing in the top 15 of the 56 girl JV race!

Josh was able to secure a a top 5 spot and earn his first career ribbon!

It was another day to get better and improve for the Running Warriors!

The Ham Co. Invite was a hot one this year, the heat played its part and took a toll on everyone. Lots of young runners from every team got better, especially ours!

These three girls continue to show up and get better every single day, they are the definition of gritty!

Mr. Sheets has already knocked down his PB time by over 3 whole minutes! Be on the lookout for this aspiring runner.

Our Varsity girls consist of three very competitive 7th Graders. These girls are learning what it takes to compete at the Varsity level and are helping set a great foundation for their team. Coach Lukas cannot wait to see the progress from Day 1 till seasons end!

Josh also took a massive step in his running game! Josh ran the entire back half of the race in the 100+ degree heat. Coach Lukas was extremely proud of the effort and attitude on display.

The Ewing Warriors Cross Country runners made their debuts today in Texico, at the Field Meet!

This team showed incredible sportsmanship and ran a gritty, competitive race! We can’t wait to watch these young student-athletes grow!
