THE CATS!!!!!!

Except last night they fought like DAWGS - an unfortunate ending to an absolutely incredible game. They went toe-to-toe with the #1 team in the state, battled for 7 innings - the battery…EXCELLENT. The infielders…EXCELLENT. The outfielders…EXCELLENT. CLUTCH hits in the 6th. Fell short by ONE run, to a team they’ve been told they couldn’t compete with by EVERYONE except those who truly believed in them.

We could not be more proud of them and the season they put together!

🥎 City - Champs
🥎 Multiple state Top 10 ranked wins
🥎 2-1 loss to 2A #1 Tecumseh in the Sectional Semi-Final

The Mater Dei community should be SO PROUD of these girls!

As our senior class captain said last night, “we couldn’t have played any better,” and she was right!!

WILDCAT FANS!!!

With the varsity win tonight, your Wildcats finish 2nd in the SIAC for the 2026 season!

They also claimed the city title last week with their win over Bosse!!

TONIGHT - the comeback kids were at it again, scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th (are we surprised?!) to beat Jasper 6-4!! What a great end to the regular season!
