What a wonderful week for MVS cheerleading! We held clinic on Monday and Wednesday and had tryouts yesterday afternoon!

We’d like to say how proud we are of each girl who tried out! The courage it takes for these girls to tryout for cheerleading is admirable!

Our judges were very impressed with the talent and in the 12+ years of coaching cheerleading (only 1 at Mt. View), these were some of the closest cumulative scores we’ve ever seen!

Unfortunately, we could only offer 12 girls a spot on the team. This is mostly due to the limited space available in the gyms we cheer and the number of uniforms we currently have. We encourage everyone who tried out to keep working hard and try again next year!

We look forward to the upcoming season and are excited about the future of the Mt. View School Cheerleaders. Congratulations to the girls who made the team! Go Tigers! 🐅

Here’s a little recap of our last couple of weeks!

Monday we had 8th Grade Night! Congratulations to Caylee and Mercedes!

Tuesday we cheered on our Lady Tigers and Tigers at Sweetwater Junior High!

Wednesday we went caroling with the basketball players to Etowah Health Care and NHC in Athens. The kids did an excellent job, were very well-behaved, (I expected nothing less 😊) and spread tons of holiday “cheer”!

We ended the day with a “Cheer Party”!

We have one more game tonight and then a much needed break until January!
