Hello ELC Family and Friends!

We are incredibly excited to announce that ELC has won the 2026 Class 2A Mario Kart 8 Deluxe State Championship!

Williamsburg was an excellent opponent that pushed ELC to come together as a full team! This first game ended in a tie at 78-78. In game two ELC muscled our way into a victory 84-72. Then in game three we found ourselves with a 15 point lead headed into race number four and played exceptional in the third lap to take the state championship, 91-65!

Game 1: 78-78 Tie
Game 2: 84-72 W
Game 3: 91-65 W

This makes ELC the back to back State Champs in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe! This team also has a combined record of 20-0 going back to last year! Going back to last year ELC Esports has won three state championships in the last four seasons! An incredible accomplishment in only the second full year of starting the esports program at ELC! Coach Rice could not be more proud of his players for their dedication to the program. They are the reason for this success and we could not ask for more incredible student athletes!

Hey ELC Family and Friends,

ELC defeats division rival North Fayette Valley in the 2nd Round of the State Tournament in a fierce battle that started in a tie in the first game, 78-78. However, ELC rebounded immediately and beat NFV in games two and three.

Game 1: 78-78 T
Game 2: 92-64 W
Game 3: 96-58 W

We are now headed to the Class 2A MK8D State Championship game! Your #1 seeded ELC will face off against #2 seeded Williamsburg! The winner of this matchup will be crowned the Class 2A MK8D State champions!

The game will be played at 5:30 PM today!

ELC defeats division rival D**e New Hartford in the 1st Round of the State Tournament, 2-0!

Game 1: 101-55
Game 2: 84-72

We are now headed to the 2nd round of the playoffs and will face off against another division rival in the #5 seeded North Fayette Valley Tigerhawks! The winner of this matchup will go on to play for the Class 2A State Championship!

The game will be played around 12:45 PM today!

Today your 7-0 #1 overall seeded MK8D team is playing in the State Tournament!

Our first round opponent will be against the D**e New Hartford Wolverines! The match will begin at roughly 8:15 AM today! Winner of this round heads to the 2nd round of the tournament later today! Coach will provide more updates as the day goes on! The link to the livestream is right below!

ELC Esports left for Marshalltown to compete in Class 2A State MK8D!!! See you all at 8:15 on Tuesday, May 19th!

Hello ELC Family and Friends,

Today we are sharing an exciting announcement about our Spring Season, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Esports Team!

Our MK8D team finished the season with a perfect 7-0 record and were crowned champions of the Class 2A First Division. This fantastic season placed us as the number 1 ranked Class 2A team in the state of Iowa. We were one of four teams with an automatic berth through Sub-State play this week!

We are officially STATE BOUND and will be headed to Marshalltown, IA to play in the IAHSEA Mario Kart 8 Deluxe State Tournament on Tuesday, May, 19th! Our first round match up will be against our division rival in D**e New Hartford at around 8:10 AM!

The tournament will be played in a single day at the Orpheum in Marshalltown, IA. The 1st Round of the tournament will begin at 8:10 that morning. The 2nd, 3rd, and Final will be played at later times during the day. Every game can be watched via a Livestream that is on the official IAHSEA YouTube page.

Our varsity roster consists of Seniors: Loki Hatland and Braylen Milstead. Sophomores, Deyvion Domineck, Avery Hamm, and Eli Robinson.

Thank you to everyone who has shown support for our players and this program throughout this year! It has been such a fun experience to provide these opportunities to our students at ELC!

Hello ELC Family and Friends,

Today was our Week 7 matchup in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in the Spring Season of Esports against the D**e-New Hartford Wolverines. It was the hardest fought battle of the season to end the season. Each game was decided by only a few points, but our squad pulled a two to nothing victory!

Game 1: 82-74 W
Game 2: 92-64 W

This victory means that our Varsity Mario Kart 8 Deluxe squad earned a perfect regular season record of 7-0 and are now the Class 2A Division 1 Champions! Our next step will be playing at State in Marshalltown on May 19th! Coach Rice will provide more updates as more information is solidified!

Hello ELC Family and Friends,

Today was our rescheduled Week 5 matchup in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in the Spring Season of Esports against the undefeated North Fayette Valley Tigerhawks in a battle that would determine the leader of our division!

While the Tigerhawks were a great opponent our ELC squad was locked in and won two games to none in a dominating fashion.

Game 1: 107-49 W
Game 2: 106-50 W

This brings our record to 6-0 on the season and in 1st place of the 1st Division in Class 2A Division 1 MK8D.

Our varsity roster includes Seniors; Loki Hatland and Braylen Milstead. Sophomores; Avery Hamm, Devyvion Domineck, and Eli Robinson.

We play again tomorrow or Tuesday, April 28th at 4:00 PM against the D**e-New Hartford Wolverines for our final game of our regular season!
