It was a little windy down at the lake today but I managed to land 3 from 4 takes with the biggest going 24lb 4oz.

had an overnight session last night. He fished Mulbriplex on one of his rods and it landed him the biggest capture out of the 6 he had.

The fish weren't quite as active as last week but a day session today resulted in 5 landed from 5 takes up to 22lb 8oz.

The carp were definitely more active today and landed 8 from 11 takes.

Ended up catching both the largest I've had from this lake at 24 1/2lb at the start of the day and finished with the smallest I've had at 5 1/2lb.

2 landed from 2 takes on a day session at the lake today, both falling to a new flavour that I'm testing.

I thought I might be in for a few more after the second take happened about 5 mins after I placed the rod back out on the spot I'd had the first from but unfortunately the spot went quiet after that.

A day session at the lake today resulted in 5 landed from 5 takes up to 21 1/2lbs.

With the weather being a bit cooler than my last session I was expecting it to be a fairly slow day, however when I arrived at the lake I noticed several fish showing and cruising around with their backs out.

I placed both rods in the area and was rewarded with a quick first bite before I'd even got the hanger on the line.

The rest of the bites came fairly steady throughout the day around 1 every 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Been for a day session on the bank today and whilst the fish still weren't overly active I managed to nick a couple of bites.

I had a walk round when I first arrived and only seeing one fish show, I decided to set up in the nearest swim. I fished there for a couple of hours but didn't even get a knock. Having noticed a little more action on the other side of the lake I decided to pack up and move swims.

I placed both rods around the area I had seen showing fish and ended up with 2 carp landed from 2 takes. The 2nd bite being on a new flavour that I was testing out for the first time.

Got out on the bank for my 1st session of 2026. Luckily, whilst parts of the lake were frozen over there was plenty that weren't so it was still fishable.

It was hard going, with no fish showing and the usual spots not even producing a liner to indicate the fish were in the area.

For the last hour I decided to try out a new spot and place one of my rods to the near far corner close to the edge of the ice. Just when I thought a blank was likely the rod peeled off 5 mins before I was planning to bring the rods in, resulting in a 15 1/2lb Mirror.

With the sun out today a few of the carp were cruising near the surface but I didn't have my surface rods with me. Fortunately the Mulbriplex managed to draw one down shortly after casting to the area I had seen them.

A much quieter overnight session last night compared to the previous week with just 1 carp landed from 3 takes.
