The Rivals season came to an end following a 4-2 playoff loss to the Outlaws. It was a hard fought game, but despite the effort, the Rivals came up short.

The Rivals took an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning thanks to RBI singles by Jake Rocky and Charlie Salvo. After the Outlaws scored 3 runs in the top of the 2nd inning, the Rivals never saw the lead again.

Pat Stafford had another excellent pitching performance. He went 6 innings, only allowing 3 hits, 2 walks, and 1 run while striking out 5.

Kenny Nickson III had a hard double to left field in the 2nd. Charlie Salvo had two hits. Logan Wells walked 3 times. Tyler Banks had a hit to start the game which resulted in him scoring later in the inning. Representing the tying run in the bottom of the 7th inning, Jake Rocky’s hard hit line drive resulted in an incredible diving catch to end the game.

We would like to wish TESCO and the Braendel Services Outlaws good luck as they compete against each other in the championship.

The Rivals lost a tough game against the Outlaws in game 2 of their semi-final playoff series. After leading 2-0 through 5 innings, the Rivals fell to the Outlaws 3-2 in 8 innings. This evens the series at 1-1.

Evan Stranko threw 4 dominant innings. He only allowed two base runners and struck out 11 batters!

Jake Rocky hit a two-run home run to give the Rivals a 2-0 lead in the top of the 5th. Offensively, Jason Dolak had two hits and Breckon Kitts had one hit.

Unfortunately the Rivals were unable to hold the lead and finish the job. The series will come to game 3 on Monday night (8/3) at 8 pm, under the lights at Ainsworth Field.

The Rivals got their first playoff win in franchise history in Game 1 of the semi-final series against the Outlaws! The game ended on a walk-off 2 run double by Jake Rocky!

Heath Betza threw 6 solid innings, only giving up 3 runs and striking out 7. Ross Morrow got out of a jam in the top of the 7th by striking out 2 batters with runners in scoring position.

Evan Stranko got his first career Glenwood hit with a double in the 3rd. Toby Vahey got the scoring started with an RBI single in the 4th. The Rivals scored 2 more runs in the 5th inning to tie the game.

Behind by 1 run in the bottom of the seventh, D Lane and Logan Wells reached base. Then Jake Rocky hammered a booming double off the centerfield fence to score both runs!

It was a great team effort to get the Rivals first playoff win!

The Rivals regular season came to a close with an 11-0 victory over the Bandits. The 5-inning victory brought the Rivals to 8-4 and clinched the #2 seed for the playoffs. It also completed the season sweep of the Bandits.

Ross Morrow was great on the mound with 4 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, and 7 K’s. He also had a 4 strikeout inning! Pat Stafford finished it up in the 5th inning by striking out the side. The Rivals defense had another solid performance.

Logan Wells, Charlie Salvo, and Damien Lane all had two hits. Tyler Banks and Tyler Chorney each had one too. Dana Williams smoked a double with the bases loaded to walk it off! Lots of hard hit balls from the whole lineup. The Rivals also tallied 6 walks and 7 stolen bases.

The Rivals got a huge 4-1 team win over the Braendel Services Outlaws. That brings the Rivals to 7-4 on the season and gives them a series win over the Outlaws.

Damien Lane and Tony Wozniak both walked and came around to score in the 1st. Then Dana Williams, in his Rivals debut, hit a huge two-run homer in the bottom of the 4th after Nate Doutt walked. Josh Merchbaker had two nice hits and Nate Doutt walked 3 times.

Brady Coleman pitched an incredible game. 6 innings, 1 hit, 1 walk, 0 runs, and 5 K’s! And on only 69 pitches. Nate Doutt came in and got the save in the 7th, with just 1 unearned run on 0 hits or walks. Excellent pitching shut the Outlaws down.

It was the Rivals best day in the field on the year. Lots of good plays were made behind Brady and Nate.

The Rivals completed their season sweep of the Kindle Outlaws by a score of 7-3. With a record of (6-4) on the season, the Rivals will have a chance to battle for the #2 seed in next week’s games.

Pat Stafford earned the win and led the way pitching with 4 innings, 3 K’s, and only 1 earned run. Ross Morrow, Henry Salvo, and Brady Coleman finished the game with 3 innings of zero run relief pitching.

Nate Doutt (3 H, 2 RBI, 1 R, 1 SB), Damien Lane (2 H, 1 RBI, 1 R, 1 BB), and Tony Wozniak (2 H, 1 RBI, 1 R) led the way offensively for the Rivals. Henry Salvo added an RBI double. Heath Betza had a hard RBI single. Toby Vahey had an RBI sac fly.

The Rivals fell to TESCO 4-0 and are now 5-4 on the season.

Despite making zero errors, having 14 quality at bats, and 5 hard hit balls, the Rivals were unable to secure the win.

Evan Stranko, Heath Betza, Ross Morrow, and Pat Stafford all pitched very well. They struck had 6 and got 13 ground balls.

Brady Coleman and Jake Rocky had hits.

The Rivals clinched the Glenwood League playoffs with their 15-0 three inning victory over the Bandits.

Evan Stranko (2 IP, 0 H, 5 K’s) and Ross Morrow (1 IP, 0 H, 2 K’s) pitched 3 innings of hitless baseball and struck out 7.

Kenny Nickson III, Charlie Salvo, Breckon Kitts, and Logan Wells each had 2 hits. Charlie had a triple while Logan, Kenny, and Tyler Banks each had doubles.

Breckon Kitts also had the walk-off RBI single!

The Rivals beat the Kindle Heating Outlaws 5-2 to move to a record of 4-3 on the season.

Pat Stafford, Ross Morrow, Nate Doutt, and Charlie Salvo allowed only 4 hits, 3 walks, 0 earned runs, and struck out 12 batters on the mound.

Logan Wells hit a two-run home run to deep right center field in the 3rd inning to take a 2-1 lead. It was his first on the season and the teams third on the year.

Damien Lane, Jake Rocky, and Logan Wells each had two hits. Charlie Salvo and Jake Rocky each had RBI singles. Jackson Kiser reached base 4 times with 3 walks and 1 hit.
