Congratulations are in order for Zoie Stubleski & Kensey Kreger who were both selected 1st team All-Region by the Michigan High School Coaches Association! 🦅🥎💙💛

Zoie is one of the best contact-power hitters I’ve ever seen! She puts the ball in play almost every at-bat, with only 4 strikeouts on the season. She holds a high batting average consistently, and is a leader on the field.

Kensey Kreger routinely makes diving catches, and tracks the ball extremely well. She can cover a lot of ground and brings a strong bat to our lineup.

Good luck in ALL-STATE voting!

Congratulations to Whiteford, Summerfield and Airport on winning regional titles in their respective divisions yesterday. Monroe county has a very competitive softball community, and it is awesome to see these teams rising to the top! Keep it rolling! We are cheering for you!👏 👏 👏

And that’s a wrap! We celebrated with an awards banquet last night for both our Varsity and Junior Varsity teams.

This year was special. We accomplished a lot… we were able to have two full rosters with full schedules. The varsity team played 3 scrimmages and 34 games out of 38 allowed. That was quite an accomplishment with all of the weather cancellations we had to deal with this season!

🥎 3 players with over 100 career hits, two with over 100 stolen bases.

🥎 Addie Homrich set a new single season school record of 45 stolen bases.

🥎 Two ALL District players who will go on to regional voting: Kensey Kreger-outfield, Zoie Stubleski-utility. (My first time since coaching to successfully get nominations on the all-district team)

🥎 All-state academic team (4th season in a row) but with the highest cumulative GPA of 3.78.

🥎 We hosted and won our annual Chris McClain tournament.

🥎 We participated in the Michigan Challenge tournament in Canton (premier high school tournament) playing 5 games, and proving we could hold our own against tough teams.

🥎The accomplishments I’m most proud of don’t show up in traditional stats, and once I gather my thoughts I’ll share those too.

I have a tremendous amount of gratitude for these girls that bought in, the coaches, the parents, family, teachers and friends that supported us along the way. 🦅🥎💙💛

Our season ended in districts against Whiteford today. The girls showed tremendous growth, and really fought hard! Grateful for this team, and all the ups and downs will only make us stronger for next year.

It was awesome to see our senior, Jayanna Willets #2 receive both the Chris McClain Scholarship and the Sally Vanderpool Softball Scholarship. Jay is more than deserving, and I was inspired by Coach Pool and Coach McClain in how they continue their legacy through scholarship programs.

A few photos from Heather Guinn at our last regular season games vs Adrian Madison. We lost the first and won the 2nd, ending our regular season 16-16-1. We played 33 games, with a more competitive schedule than previous years, and have shown tremendous growth this year. This team can ball when they are having fun and working together! Happy to log a win for Jayanna’s last game on our field. 💛🦅🥎💙
