Hey Ephrata Boys Soccer Alumni Family,
Hope you're all doing great! The countdown is on, and we are gearing up for an unforgettable Alumni Weekend. Whether you’re dusting off the boots, hitting the links, or just coming to catch up with old friends, we can’t wait to see everyone out there.
I was out at training the other week. The team was wrapping up two-a-days and were gearing up for a game-like practice on a beautiful evening. It was great to connect with Coach McCabe and watch the team for a bit. They look young, but fierce. Just like Kliewer used to be until I taught him a lesson or two!

Friday, Sept 25 – Golf & Social at Foxchase
On the Course: Grab a foursome (Ephrata Soccer Alum only!) and get ready for an awesome day on the greens. It’s a Scramble format—play anytime during the day, then bring your scorecard over to The Den for prizes and bragging rights.
5:30 PM Social Hour: Join us at The Den for drinks, laughs, and great company!
Calling All Legends: Reach out to the local legends—coaches, parents, and long-time supporters (Chris J, Rob D, Steve S, Tony R, Bill K, etc.)—and get them out to join the festivities!
Class of 2002 Takeover: 2002 is showing up in full force—Pletz, Russell, Kleinert, and Kulp are locked in. Consider this your official warning!
Saturday, Sept 26 – Game Day & Tailgate
11:45 AM: Boys Varsity Game kicks off—come out and make some noise for the team!
~1:15 PM: Alumni Game! We take the field right after Varsity wraps up.
Post-Game Tailgate: Afterwards, we’ll be tailgating right in the parking lot! From there, whether it’s heading to the Fair, stopping by St. Boniface, or wherever the day takes us (hopefully not watching AJ suffer in his boot at my dad’s place), it’s going to be a blast.
Fundraising & Support – Bring Cash! We are looking to raise extra funds to directly support the team this year!
Items for Purchase & Throwback Gear: We’ll have gear, cool gift items, and throwback merch available at the tailgate for purchase/donation. Please bring cash so you can grab some swag and help support the program!
Donations Welcome: Every little bit helps set our team up for success.
Sponsorship Opportunities: We are still actively looking for sponsors for alumni t-shirts and tailgate food/drinks. If you or a business you know would like to partner with us, please reach out!
Hall of Fame Shoutout! 🎉 A massive congratulations to our very own Jake Deininger on his induction into the Ephrata Athletic Hall of Fame! The induction takes place September 4th at the home football game vs. Cocalico. If you’re planning to attend, let me know so we can tailgate and raise a glass to cheer on Jake before and after the game!
