⚽️🍂NSA Fall Schedules Are Here! + Ward Field Update

Exciting news! Fall schedules are now available! You can find them on our website, www.nsayouthsports.org, under the Team Central tab and in the OTTO Sport app.

A couple of quick notes:
~Minor/Senior schedules are still being finalized. We apologize for the delay.
~Picture schedules will be released to coaches soon. Pictures will be held September 12 and 13.

Ward Field Update
Following the City of Englewood’s Facebook post regarding a positive mosquito test for West Nile virus, we made the proactive decision to temporarily close Ward Field until we could receive guidance from the city. This decision was made with the safety of every player and family member in mind.

We received additional guidance from the city yesterday, and we have been advised that Ward Field does not need to remain closed. Practices can continue as scheduled.

As a precaution, we encourage everyone to:
~Avoid the tree-lined areas and standing water when possible.
~Use bug spray and take other precautions to protect yourself from mosquito bites.
~Be aware of upcoming mosquito fogging. Englewood will post the specific fogging times on its website and page. We have been told these times should not affect our scheduled practices.

Public Notice August 24, 2026 📣

Public Health – Dayton & Montgomery County has confirmed that a mosquito pool collected at Don Ward Field (7745 Hoke Road, Englewood) tested positive for West Nile Virus. The sample was verified by the Ohio Department of Health.

To help reduce the mosquito population and lower the risk of disease transmission, the City of Englewood has contracted with Mosquito Joe of Miami Valley to conduct three rounds of mosquito fogging. The first treatment is planned for later this week.

Please note that treatments are weather dependent. Any changes to the schedule due to weather conditions will be announced as soon as possible.

🗓 1st Fogging Date: August 27th in the morning. 🦟
Once the application is applied, there is a 30-minute dry time then the area will be safe for play and normal activities. The city will deliver written notice to the properties immediately adjacent to the park prior to each scheduled application.

🚨WARD FIELD CLOSED🚨

Unfortunately, we have to close Ward Field once again for practices tonight.

Coaches are welcome to find another school or park location if they would still like to hold practice. We will contact the City of Englewood tomorrow for guidance on how we should proceed and what steps we need to take moving forward.

For tonight, however, Ward Field is closed for all NSA practices.

We apologize for the continued inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.

We are so glad we were finally able to get the fields open last week and let you all start practicing!

We are just days away from finalizing our game schedule! We’ll let you know as soon as the schedule is live on our website and in the OTTO app.

We’ve been working hard to schedule approximately 360 games, so we appreciate your patience as we get everything finalized!
